lol, welcome to the club, owner list updated. My touch diamond still with SIS. SIS currently giving me lots of problems lol

EDIT: The solution to fix MEMORY LEAK and BLACK ICONS issue for HTC Diamond may have been found. But i need my damn diamond back from SIS in order to properly test for u guys. Stay tuned

I read from XDA developer that only non-SEA (south east asia) region will only need to hard-spl since the ROM is for our region. Anyone can confirm this?

IMHO..*correct me if I'm wrong* hard SPL is only applicable if you r flashing a rom different that ur own region...since this rom is for SEA n our TD is from SEA region as well..u don't need to do the hard spl...

Yes u r right and also for those who flashing custom rom also required hard SPL.

Sorry, but what exactly does hard SPL stands for?

And would any sifu's pls kindly guide me on how to upgrade to a custom rom without bricking my phone.. Scared la.. My first PDA phone.. Lol..

Hi folks, here's other alternative cases from pdair. I've gotten the aluminium casings from them previously and they did an excellent job in protecting my tilt. They're about to release one for Diamond soon.

If leather is your preference, they have fine leather casings too.

Sent my diamond back to SIS in lowyat on sunday. Need 3 - 4 days to inspect the problem as they said my "auto muted" issue was not common. ZzzzzzzzzzzzzzZz

dude, call them everyday non stop, pester them. can rush the thing wan. SIS tends to take their own sweet time.

when ppl call me, i heard de caller's voice very low eventhough de volume i dy adjust to maximum.Does anybody has de same situation as me?

To get it really cheap...go to Singapore la...@RM2000. Btw i really thinks HTC cut a lot of corners coz no printed manuals, pouch like usual

Newbie Questions here:

- Is hard reset will remain the WM6.1?
- My TD booting screen is showing WM6.1, but when I checked in System Info under Program, it shows Window Mobile 6.0 (WinCE 5.02), is that a correct version?
- I saw a lot of programs and games in my TD, but i cant see any been listed in Managed Programs or Remove Program. How to know that which programs are coming together with the factory version and which are installed afterward? I am actually planning to uninstalled some programs (perhaps all) that I do not need. Will Hard Reset helps doing so?

1. yes it will just be a factory reset, so it answers question 3 as well. if u cant see it in "uninstall programs" means when u hard reset those stuff will remain as it comes with the OS.
2. No its not normal. supposed to show 6.1. where u check

I have one question... I am using GarminXT as my GPS software.. I have this problem where when navigating, the backlight overide doesn work.. meaning, TD still goes to sleep (full black screen) and have to press power button to on back.. then it will seach for satelit again.. Its damn annoying.. I have gone to Settings>Display>Backlight Overide> and checked Always on.. but it doesn help.. anybody got any ideas?
