What to be sad you should have bought it during the bank run news in America at that time

dont let a few cents difference stop you from buying. think dividend and just buy for long term.

Don’t think too much about dividends 🤦‍♀️ Think more about book value and buy accordingly for accumulation

Don’t just wait dividend announcements to buy 🤦‍♀️ and by the time you wait for it price is already has risen

You buy when the markets falls and Maybank drops within the fair book value range since you are the accumulator

I always buy whenever Maybank goes ex-div or when the price hits below 8.50. I know Maybank's price will always stabilise above 8.60 so I buy without worries. So far I have already hit my target on Maybank accumulation but if price is attractive I still have extra bullets to hoot thumbup.gif

Yeah i bought at 8.2 - 8.5 but it's too expensive now at 8.7 lol. Thought the US bank run would make the shares drop or sustain longer below 8.5 but it didn't happen haha. My average price now is 8.1 trying to maintain it that's why hesitant to increase laugh.gif sigh

My average is around 7.80 as I bought quite a lot at 7.20. I have been averaging up since then. Not worried about my average price as long as I could get it to maintain below 8.50 so I can keep getting a yield of at least 6.5%. I'm still getting very good yield as I keep expanding my dividend.

"Should have" rolleyes.gif

Got to start looking forward and not backwards anymore. Got to have a new target price with current situation. Otherwise you will forever be left behind smile.gif

But it depends on your investment strategy. I am all for dividends right now so as long as the yield is above 6% then it's good enough for me to buy. Not so worried about growth anymore.

Should I put 10k monthly into only Maybank or split it up to MBB, CIMB, RHB in equal percentage just in case one of them bankrup.

I'm not good at predicting share price. Only know they all make profit and all pay about 5% dividend. better than FD.

No point do equal weightage if you are buying for dividends 🤦‍♀️

Buy Maybank because of solid dividends track records and it won’t be easy any of those banks to be collapsed in the 1st place but CIMB would be highest risk among of them due to higher lending

if you want to diversify, suggest to look into other sector, than diversifying into other banks in this case.

suggest you look at UP, i like their dividend yield (at my entry price point).

No one can really predict share price i think.

Bankrupt? You read too much in US bank run news.

Bank in MY is most protected.

I would rather all into MBB. MBB is average 6% div.

Afterwards like credit suisse how? even big swiss bank can bankrup. But anyway, its safer to buy shares than bonds now. So that's why diversifying from that too.

Protected doesn’t means good because the bank management will take advantage into riskier assets 🤦‍♀️ already happened before with 3 banks in Malaysia and have to been bailed out with shotgun merger just like CS case 🤦‍♀️

Yes Malaysia has happened before with 3 banks collapsed and been forced into shotgun merger 🤦‍♀️

You buy shares because you know and plan your exit strategy while bonds is at the mercy of issuer hence you will have do a very through lookup on the issuer before committing to it
