today close at 8.80 ..means the price is RM 8.5 after exdate. because the div is 30 cent. The price may go up to RM 9.10 right?

yes. moving down the road it will up and down, it may up to RM 10 before ex date or down to Rm 8 too.

Yes. I get it. That what i mean if RM 8.8 ...after dividend payout, it will back to 8.5 at my first post. Yes, i havent own any Maybank stock at the moment , just want to get clearer picture before i put in my portfolio.

I think Maybank is great with 6-7% p.a dividend yield per year with low volatility. Great especially buy below RM 8.

Why do people wanna invest in FD or ASNB which yield 4-5%? isn't maybank a no brainer?

Why want open nominee when u can open direct CDs?

nominee acc got a layer of protection, cant see one's stock holding so easily, like if can see in bursa anywhere app any govt agencies can also find out our stock holding.

gonna open rakuten and move my shares there. everything so much cheaper, and also a nominee acc

But is it that easy to steal shares from CDS meh? Stealing shares means there is a loophole in the banks, highly doubt it will be that easy

dont let a few cents difference stop you from buying. think dividend and just buy for long term.
