Your new boy looks like my Ferro. Just like milo color. maybe it's a mink? Minks have garnet eyes, a kind of red. Can't really see well.

According to Hun it is very hard to photograph the shine cuz dunno why it just doesn't reflect well on the shine. Maybe Hun can help you out. She expert.

That's why I try to take pic under sunlight so that no flash and less reflection. Mink? Hmm.... If it's a mink also nevermind, cos his color already very unique. Don't look like cream at all, a bit like sable but too light to be sable. So, we also Hope to have pros to give clarification to clear our doubts.

last time when i got my first mink banded, hun said that, if the color is more towards brown than grey, then it's mink wor, not dove.. correct me if wrong.. oh ya, i also noticed he has eye rings (could be mink cos mink comes from sable)..

btw, i like SamSam's long coat fur.. and ya, seems to have some shine.. shiny + long fur = very nice

Hmm... could be also, but if there's any statement says mink have eye ring and dove don't have, then my doubts can be clear already, but the only different is brown coat to the roots, I can't hold him yet as he is still exploring and get used to the new home, so can't check for that.

Because of his super long hair I gotta change his bedding from Aspen wood shaving to corncobs mixed with BC and hay. Or else, I gotta clean his fur whenever I wanna take him out.

I also hope I can take a closer pic of him, but he is exploring the whole tank and keep running on the wheel, not even 1 second he is still and not move.

SamSam will be quiet whenever I hold him and groom his fur, he won't run away but move a bit here and there la.

Maybe after all the mink and dove thingy, he is a light sable banded.....hahahaha....

just now i play with my syrians. they have this kind of smell stuck to my hand.. its different from pee smell... a bit smell of bitter

is it the smell when they on heat?? she does not freeze when i touch them, i check their private part, no sticky liquid

Thanks! But we still doubt about his color. Try to google and research about it but end up more confusing. Anyway, we'll still love him as he is. He is a bear look boy, active and alert. Love the wheel and food so much. He choose to eat the smoothie first.

Hahaha..... It's already here from my previous hammies la. Thought wanna get ready for Nezu's hamsters but now occupied already, gotta get new sets for the new comers of Nezu. Why so jealous? You don't need to run on wheel right? We gave him Sanko wheel because we scared he will hide, sleep, pee and poo in the wheel if we give him Wodent wheel, so better Sanko wheel lor. Wodent keep for Nezu's hammies.

That was the previous tank and Sanko wheel of AshAsh (solid sable) whom ran away few months back. We still have another Wodent Wheel Jr and other accessories around for Foo's syrians.

Sanko wheel is good wheel as it is big enough for Syrian so that their back and spine will not hurt while running in the wheel in their adulthood cos syrian can grow until 6-7 inches in length. The price is around RM55-RM60 depends on where you get it. You can get it from Pet Shack, Pet Lover Center Sunway Pyramid and Pet Safari Ikano. For PLC and PS, I don't know whether they still have their stock or not, but Pet Shack still have a few of it and Pet Shack is slightly cheaper also

The other option is Wodent wheel which is very good wheel also. This only can get from Pet Shack as it's fully imported from USA.

Yes, that's the Sanko wheel. It's actually a silent wheel, brand Sanko cos it's a Japanese company. Wodent wheel is the one Wodent Wheel Junior RM68.80. Both are good. If your Syrian is big and your tank is a 2ft tank, then must be careful as they are very smart and can find their way to escape from the tank using the wheel stand cos Sanko wheel stand got a place for them to stand.

I know about the Wodent Wheel too but it seems a tad bit expensive, albeit very worth its price. I can go for the Sanko wheel or I can save up awhile more and go for the Wodent wheel.

But if the tank is closed at all times then no worries right?

My JackJack can climb up and stand on top of the wheel then bite the lid as the cover is closed. Just so amaze when I saw that with my own eyes. Once they can bite a hole and get a grip, they can get out already.

You only need to pay about RM10 extra for Wodent wheel, if you prefer a Wodent wheel then no need to get one first then get another one after that, unless you are like us, get more than one, then no problem lor.

I have the same colour cover as you. Your JackJack is so smart to climb up like that. I'm getting summore smoothies on tuesday or wednesday. Finished a few days back but I've been too busy to go. My Kiki looks healthier now. even its fur is nicer

Yes, he is too smart. Because of he is too smart, he get to stay in ZooZone2 now with Sanko wheel and few hide outs with 2 toilets. Spoiled boy.

I agreed with your point for the smoothie as I can see Kiko is growing bigger in a sudden (3 weeks).
