well if wanna keep urself, be prepared to have 2 extra tanks..


just came back from Pets Lovers Centre pyramid, so many hamsters left, unable to sell.. they're all at least 1 month old dy, but still keep like about 50 in 1 tank.. tsk tsk tsk, sad so see some injured in the balls, in the eyes..
i also saw a WW Sapphire ''star-gazing''.. i was surprised, cos this is common among campbells, but WW i never heard or seen before.. could it have come from a pudding(hybrid) hamster? cos puddings do give birth to sapphire as well..

hmm wonder if u could snap pic for the bedding brands/package u guyz have for ur hamster...i rmb i only saw the one type of bedding at that pet shop i went (the one i got for free)...mayb i overlooked....but its says abt pine and ceddar stuff...i will double check again when i got home later...
thanks for guidance....is the pine or ceddar bedding also bad for sugar glider? coz my housemate has sugar glider, mayb i can give him...

no wonnder la... she poo wayyyyyyyyy lot more....... 1 day oni poo like so so much !!!!! somemore she owaz poo in her sky spinner.. hard to clean... can cleary c her mountain of poo.. hav to clean daily~

NO Pine for sugar glider also.

the 2ft tank cover got 2 transparent plastic 'windows' de.. 1.5ft only got 1.. so, can easily differentiate lor..

2 feet tank got 3 clear covers (1 big and 2 small). I'm not sure about 1.5 feet as we don't have them but we do have a few small tanks only for feeding, transport, cleaning, etc.

Can see the cover from the picture of Echo's tank.

for, 1.5 ft tank, the clear cover is the small 1..

ps/ i see u make a hole in the cover.. why?
actually i also made 1 hole in mine, thought can put tubes & make a fanciful tank.. mana tau the hole too small for habitrail tubes

erm i got my new hamster stay in habitrail mini, but he seems like running on and off always....and he dun stay at his mushroom house for sleep...he rest at the round shape wheel...
is he okay to sleep at the wheel?

Thats normal. Sometimes they even sleep in the toilet.

how to make that big hole for tubes?? use something hot to melt it??

The tank was used by our 2 robos before. The hole was made for the habitrail mini tubes. But now using for Echo, we cover it with a small cover taken from the habitrial mini tube.

i am more curious on what kind of hamster she has

i have a roborovski...but he is alone...hmm it sounds like i should toilet train him too...so i should prepare another area for his pee or poo? now he juz shit among beddings...also does he need special stuff for bath?
