If the machine did not return u ur cash, dont worry juz call the customer sercive. there's some journal/log inside the machine itself although ur trxn might not reached the host. anyway a piece of advise is dont do trxn near midnight, coz normally thats the time when the ATMs and CDMs will go out of service for batch maintenance job

When u have the largest no of ATM in the country with 6 million cardholders not including other comercial bank card holders who would frequent MBB ATM bcos of availability, then u r bound to have more downtime. But if u compared the no of MBB ATM against other commercial banks versus the no of withdrawals, then the downtime at MBB is the lowest among all.

PBB's CDM is copied from MBB as MBB were the 1st to use this type of CDM. Again, refer to the above to understand the problem.

just clarifying.

last sunday,i deposit money but suddenly the cdm out of service and eat my money RM80.they say it will take at least 3 days to deposit to the recipients account but until today the money still not deposit.is it bcoz i am a 17 years old teen and they doesnt put high priority on me?or is it the money i lost only RM80?whatever it is, rm80 for a unemployed student is many and i want justice to be with me.is there any suggestion?

better report quickly.. or you have no case against the bank..

You need to file up a form & submit to them, normally end of the day you should get the money back to your account.
Check with the officer, no customer is small customer... Scold them if you have to

i already do the report and filled the form....but it seems they are not taking it seriously....

Just relax and check your account balance everyday. Normally it will take the bank 2-3 business days to check and investigate your case. However, please post here if you encounter any "charges" from the bank to solve this issue for you.

I got my balance deducted RM 15.

After painful one week of waiting and yet my money still not bank in yet,today at 2.00pm i go attack the maybank branch and ask them wtf is happening.the b#tch at the enquiries counter do some check on me and clarify that looks like the money still not bank in yet.yes,i know that b#tch and i want my money now!however,all she do is said "we already sent ur form.." and then "our manager is not here for awhile bcoz of lunch break,plz leave ur details here and ur phone no. here so he can call you.."and you guys know what?until know he still dont give me a call!!!i waiting liek hell for his call but nothing happen!HOLY F#CK!DAMMIT!

This has happened to me personally. Halfway through the "counting money" sound, the machine just jammed & error.

Called up the bank, an officer came over and gave me a cash deposit form to fill up, then I left. Before end-of-day they already credited the money into my account.

easiest way, go to the branch tomorrow and meet the manager in person.
tell them if they still didn't give you a reasonable reason you will complain to bank negara.
this is enough to scare them out.
as what they do is unreasonable, the reasonable waiting period should be 2-3 working days.

Different case.... this might be out of topic but I just want you guys to know.
If you withdraw cash; no money comes out but the receipt deduct your balance....

That's just because the chip on the card isn't clean, clean it with something
like your clothes and eraser and the original balance will return. This happen quite frequently.

How does a dirty chip result in money not coming out of the machine? Thats is a pretty weird error.

i experienced the same case too, the receipt shows money withdrew but in actual nothing come out.
luckily Maybank credit the amount back to my account automatically even before i made a complain.
probably the chip can only verify my status but can't send or receive to command to withdraw money due to some residue on it that causes it unreadable.

this is one of the cons for chip.

Everytime I experienced something, it's sure a weird thing..

I have experienced my money getting stuck in the machine before. This was at Maybank Plaza Damansara. It was a Sunday. This is a very problematic machine and it always has difficulty recognising notes. I heard a funny clicking sound and the message 'maaf, masalah teknikal' or something came up. Immediately called CS and they credited my account in 1 week.
