Hey does anyone encounter the situation where when you are depositing your money halfway the machine fails and display "out of service" message? Just wondering what would be the consequences?

That would be a nightmare. Hopefully, somebody in LYN works in the bank and can explain what to do.

then the next working hour, you need report to maybank ... or they will have a record who the last person use it when the machine stuck ... and will bank in the money for u automatically ...

My case was with the ATM machine. I tried to withdraw the $$ but no $$ was coming out from the machine but the receipt showed that the $$ was out I went to Maybank and they took around 3 weeks to settle for me.

Even if that happens, make sure you keep the receipt (if any) in order to report to the authority. If not, just make sure your face appears clearly in their CCTV, lolz.

i thinks any machines which provide service to us have pass their QC lol...
else, it's nightmare.

Hmm .. so far I haven't encounter such situation before.
But the worse one I got its half way processing then .. its written there Out of Service - Transaction Cancelled. Refunded my money ..

It sucks big time because the cash deposit machines always out of service on the 1st or 2nd day of the month. But thank God there's m2u

it happened to my friend, by 6am he wants to deposit the money who knows after he put in his money and appear OUT OF SERVICE. He just went back and couldnt sleep and waited until working hour then go make report

What happened next? Did he get his money back?

there is an emergency number that you supposed to call when this thing happened.
the number is printed on maybank's atm card.
it happened to me twice, once with atm machine and another with the cheque deposite machine.
i call the number on both ocassion and the officer in charge is kind enough to get back to me the very next working day to confirm and ask me to proceed with the report.
maybank credited the atm's one after 15 working days while the one with the deposite machine i get beck within 3 working days.
just make sure you reported the incident a.s.a.p to maybank to avoid misunderstanding.

last time i have this thinking tht, if something really happened, point to the CCTV... see my face, ur machince got problems.... it's better call on the spot, in front of Machine, then u got the CCTV record n tele-communication record at the same time.

U either make use of the machines so frequently, or Ur that unlucky I truly hope it wouldn't happen to me - the inconvenience of it all *grins*

I went to bank to make report on next working day morning.
The money credit back to my account in the afternoon.

if halfway, maybank will refund the money (mostly will credit it back to ur acc)
if all the money is already in the CDM, and later it gets stuck, maybank will help u deposit the money to the recipient acc..
not the CDM machine didnt pass their QC, but mostly it gets stuck because some people deposit RM5 note, the note is in bad condition, etc. then will only the machine get stuck..

I experienced once.. I was depositing money..and suddenly it appear out of service..and my money jammed half way.. no receipt and no money refund. I quickly call maybank operator.. and it took me 10 minutes for someone to answer my call. Maybank staff really $ux.. They recorded my name and details..then next day, i went to bank again to take back the money. Scary Maybank Deposit Machine. It cannot accept large amount of money notes, better separate into few times to deposit, other wise it gets jammed again!!!!
