Snowball stays inside the house, I only let him loose in the garden when we are lazy to walk him, basically almost everyday, hahaha. I, unfortunately, only walk him like twice a week? I know it's insufficient, but we walk around our neighbourhood only, he not sien the master also sien already =p

I hope my housing area wont have those dog catchers. I know a lot of dogs in my place all don't have license as well. I read it's quite a hassle to get one in Shah Alam, must wait for a few months if I'm not mistaken. My house is in a gated community, hopefully wont have those dog catchers lah, hehe.

Apparently, the process isnt so simple these days. They would want your address and the picture of your home. Depending on what type of house you live in determines how many dogs you can keep. For example, a single storey terrace house can only keep one, same goes for a double storey. If I am not mistaken, you need to snap a front shot of your house when submitting your application.

The bigger your house, the more dogs you can keep. The license is cheap but the process is hassle.

You're like me, I also let my dogs out in the compound when I'm too tired to walk them. I also walk them about 2 - 3 times a week only. Orang kaya live in gated community hah?

RM300 for the saman is one thing but to take the dog away is bullcrap. Dont let these people scare you and exercise your human rights.

If me, I'd screw the saman as well and if they step into my compound, I'd sue them, regardless DBKL or not. They dont have the rights to trespass.

snowball so lucky to have a big garden to play. but he still needs his daily walk leh. i watch too much cesar millan hehe. dog's prime instinct is to walk! so no matter how big your garden is, it is just a very big cage. because he is still fenced up wink.gif

if you walk him then he will be tired to cause chaos in the garden lo  icon_rolleyes.gif

Yea...in many dog books aso said its good to alwaz walk ur dog. Since i came back aso cant bring my dogs to walk coz everyday aso rain. I'll juz play fetch with them at my garden to utilize their energy...but they enjoyed it very much aso lar when playing at the garden. All they want is ppl to accompany them and this westies always also wants attention. cool2.gif

Ok, let me know if it's changed again. Good luck.

I saw the requirement list printed on a A4 paper, taped on the counter. I had wanted to apply but decided to forget it since I always take care of them and it's unlikely that they run out without me.

This is Malaysia, any change might be possible.

Abit gila gila sometimes and alwaz aso need attention, she's the hyper active type lar. Both of them also goes along well together so its also good that both wont feel lonely.

actually i am thinking of neutering scubby. it would be kinder to him, if not he can get cancer and all sorts of weird behaviours. i did some research and asked around, the best is to neuter if not planning to mate. even if wan to mate also, how many times? do you know, dogs also can get STD?

A friend of mine had his shih tzu neutered. He says it prevents the possibilty of prostate cancer, which is true. And also it makes the dog more manja.

My Snowball played with that shih tzu before. And snowball humped HIM, and that neutered shih tzu allowed him to do so laugh.gif

True but you are like robbing his manhood from your little Scubby. Isn't that a bit cruel? I feel dogs should be left as it is. Yes we can prevent cancer, but I don't think it is very common to get that though.

I was posting halfway while waiting for the traffic light but dunno why my post was not posted.

I have to agree with wzseow and larryho on this even though I have my own intentions to neuter Casper even when he's 2 years old now.

You bought a champion line westie, whom you want to neuter and cut off his family line. Why go through the trouble, getting such an expensive dog then? Even if you dont want to breed him, he can still be a stud dog.

You get paid for being providing a stud dog service. Optionally, you get to choose the first pup among the litter in the case where you want another westie.

Neutering lower the chances of your dog getting cancer but it's not preventing it from happening. Its still possible!! Before you neuter, read up on the odds of getting cancer after neutering. If it's >80 I think worth it la, if it's not what's the point? It's a nice breed, keep the bloodline.

Casper is a different case. Though Moonie was bought to accompany Casper, he isnt exactly the best breed and temperament. So we decide we may neuter him and let Moonie breed with Marquis instead. We are still discussing and may even drop the whole idea but may proceed to avoid accidents.

Hmm...never in my mind plan to neuter my dogs, i feel damn unfair to them. Juz try to put urself into their shoes. Cancer problem can occur anytime, if its time for them to leave....u aso cant do anything about it. Juz fully enjoy ur life with them and taking them as a best fren or a child of urs coz u brought them into the family and they did not decide it. Like the saying 'Dogs are Man's Best Fren'.

this big question have to really think think. got pros and cons la, but i have more pros now than cons, so that is why the decision to neuter him. neutering can prevent aggressiveness if he don't get to hump and "release" blush.gif

let me ask casper's dr grace and see smile.gif
