Hmmm.... Most of the skin issues are mostly due to the diet of the dog. What kibbles are you providing Vivi currently? Do you provide her any snacks which are consume by humans?

I cant really comment on the food also...not to sure about it. But the best is better bring to a trustworthy vet and check out whats the problem. Its best if the vet can straight away source out the issue.

Vio, one of my westies also had a skin problem for about 2 years over much of her body. she is much, much better now but took a lot of steroids initially, bathing with malaseb, and switching her diet to Prescription Z/D.

Hi all, this is my baby boy Casper, going to be 6 months next week biggrin.gif

would like to ask whether is it advisable to send westie to go bald, i mean not fully bald, but with like 1-2 cm long furs..

I show my picture to a shop, and the shop owner said that my boy is slightly less fur. He ask us to send Casper to go bald so that he can have more furs and thicker furs when the new furs grow, and he said should do it 3 times before Casper can go for a westie haricut.

Anyone here done this to their westie before? What is the result?

And any reccomendation on good groomers out there who can cut westie look?

Hello,

Im looking for another westie female to fill up my westie fam, I have 1 male westie now, he is 4 already. Its time for him to have a family, Im glad I read thru everything on this thread and did realised my dog is not the only one having skin problem and I guess my westie is the only westie with "poodle leg" in order to stop him from licking his legs too much. Vet recommend me to stick to fish diet which I did, but still there are rashes around, Im glad its all minor. Anyhow Im looking for a new female westie, do let me know where can I find one as I came across reading bad review from Irene Kang and it scares the hell out of me.
