I was posting halfway while waiting for the traffic light but dunno why my post was not posted.
I have to agree with wzseow and larryho on this even though I have my own intentions to neuter Casper even when he's 2 years old now.
You bought a champion line westie, whom you want to neuter and cut off his family line. Why go through the trouble, getting such an expensive dog then? Even if you dont want to breed him, he can still be a stud dog.
You get paid for being providing a stud dog service. Optionally, you get to choose the first pup among the litter in the case where you want another westie.
Neutering lower the chances of your dog getting cancer but it's not preventing it from happening. Its still possible!! Before you neuter, read up on the odds of getting cancer after neutering. If it's >80 I think worth it la, if it's not what's the point? It's a nice breed, keep the bloodline.
Casper is a different case. Though Moonie was bought to accompany Casper, he isnt exactly the best breed and temperament. So we decide we may neuter him and let Moonie breed with Marquis instead. We are still discussing and may even drop the whole idea but may proceed to avoid accidents.
