guys you find it funny that singapore ps3 support page does not have 2.41 firmware update? instead its still showing 2.36? http://asia.playstation.com/sg/ps3/ps3_softupdate.htm

Furthermore, read at the us forum, apparently some ppl having problems with the new one even though 2.40 didn't do anything wrong for them? starting with yellow light and date reset at dec 2006.

arghh... so takut now to update....

To be 100% certain, fire up the PS3 proxy server, and get the correct ps3-updatelist.txt region URL that your PS3 is trying to access from the proxy log

Otherwise, just download from any mirror

updated mine to 2.41 using thumdrive..

i noticed after my ps3 finished copying the update, the screen will just go blank... normally, it would restart and start updating the software..

so i had to do it manually, ie push the on/off button infront to turn of the ps3.. then push the button again to turn it on.. then will the ps3 update the firmware...

it happened again for 2.41.. any one of you experience the same thing?

anyway, so far so good when playing games online.. hope stays that way..

had no problem with 2.40 and now zero problem also with 2.41...both updated using thumbdrive..donlod from link provided in this thread by bro ninja...but sadly, star strike hd, which is the asian version of super stardust hd..still dont get trophy support lar....i tried surfing singapore psn website maybe can get info on this...but, find out the update version still in 2.36...hmmm, being lazy aaah psn singapore ppl?

i had the first batch of 60gb version fron japan, update 2.40 with no problem , using ps3's online update via wifi, game alot of mgs4 too after tat, but i back up my hdd just incase hehee

Just updated 2.41 yesterday, using thumb drive, works out fine too, gaming msg4 for 4-5 hours today, and even tried a few rounds tekken online..

i guess its isolated case on the firmware problem, backup ur hdd of important files ,like save, or purchase game before any update to be safe imho...

Upgraded to 2.41

last night i upgraded my firmware to 2.41.

So far so good..no problem playing MGS4 & Rock Band. I think the first time accessing in-game XMB quite laggy, but after 2-3 times..no more lag

Downloading now. Needs 19min. Cant wait to upgrade it today.

Done mine ...play games & movies & normal DVD all no problem...

Updated mine and it hang on me when the ps3 auto restart after update. Works fine after that. Anyone notice any lag / slow start-up with the new update?

yup! and updated via thumbdrive just in case.. my heart was pounding when it rebooted

i think the problem is with youtube..

even just now i can't go to youtube using pc...

i think the our beloved goverment already block access to website.. or making its harder to go there after PM made some annoucement yesterday about youtube n bloggers.
