QUOTE(samwjy @ Aug 21 2012, 09:52 PM) Do I need to get the EZLink card to travel in singapore by public transport. Will that save my time and money? yes and yes. you save on queue'ing time to buy the individual tickets. you also save on money cos ezlink fares are discounted (compared to individual single journey tickets). the downside is that you let's say reload $20 and only use $12, so $8 balance is "wasted" if you don't ever plan to go SG ever again.

QUOTE(penanghomes @ Aug 27 2012, 11:31 AM) im going sg from 7th - 9th sep. USS on a Friday! any opinions? Added on August 27, 2012, 12:34 pmQUOTE(thj1999 @ Aug 27 2012, 11:38 AM) hi all, i just came back from USS. we spent full day 10 - 7pm to explore everything there(except 2 roller coaster). All rides/show only wait for 5 -15mins except transformer which require 45mins queueing time for first ride when i was there. This is a guideline to share with all of you how much time you need to be in USS. if you went during public holoday or weekend, i believe the queuing time is much longer and you may not able to cover everything. dude how much was the entrance fees? you bought there itself? Just that the $5 card cost is not refundable. after refund u'll still get to keep the card, good as a souvenir for tourists.

Not sure whether I'm posting in the right thread.. anyways..i have friends from HK, will go S'pore first. Then will wanna spend a few days here in KL. Which coach line would you recommend? Something that is not too expensive and comfy ride. Besides, hopefully will be a straight from KL - Sin, not like those that stops at Larkin and requires to change to another bus (since they are foreigner, better avoid the hassles. Pls advise. Thank youuuuuuuu

QUOTE(Mollai @ Aug 27 2012, 06:32 PM) Yes, hence a lot of ppl used that as transport. Of course Aeroline service better but you pay extra for it as well, which i think not worth.

Me and my girlfriend are planning to go to SG for 3d2n just for fun over the weekend
The idea here is as cheap as possible for accommodation the round trip flight tickets are only 150 during my travel period.
so accommodation is the main problem.
I don't mind a backpacker so long as its convenient and we can have a private room.
As it is my first time in Singapore what would one suggest to do there?

Ooo..so wanna ask, cuz my friend is from hong kong, so I'm thinking whether I can help buy the tickets first. But they will go S'pore for few days then only come KL. So, not sure how those ticketing system works. Must he go to the booth buy himself? or I can actually buy for them, then give them the reference number to print out etc?

You can ask your friend to register online and buy the tickets online 1st. http://www.firstcoach.com.my/fcweb10c/
