dont wanna scare you, but you will have to spend a lot more time and money if your gliders have offspring la.. but if you're commited, then its ok lah.. dont neglect them all, dont only sayang their offsprings and then forget about the female already..

edited : imagine yourself having 1 kid now.. then after that, imagine having 3 kids... notice the difference?

did u introduce them properly or did u just put them in 1 cage right away?
if u just throw them in 1 cage i would ask u if u read the threads or do research..
y r they at ur friend's place n not at ur place at the 1st place..
breeding for selling or not is not the point.. the point is did u do ur research about breeding?
if u just want to have "offspring" to play with than i dun think that is the correct mind set..
have u think of the long run? when they grow what r u gona do with them? have u the ability to neuter 4 or 5 males to keep them together? if u dont wan to keep them together do u have the cages(bonai selling cheap by the way)? is ur cage big enough? can u handle about 5 sugar gliders? n please dun say ur gona get the female pregnant than take back from ur friend n wait till they come oop..
these r just my personal point of view as i've just got mine so i am no sifu..
hope u will think about it..
*
well i introduce them properly.
just wan the male to company her in the cage just like wat bonai is selling.
weather got offspring a not will still sayang them like my own children la.
dont la bang me. just wanna some opinion here k.
sigh

Evan, don't be too hard on people.. he's just trying to tell a story of his.. icon_rolleyes.gif

Anyway michael (erm your name same like my ex-gf father's name.. huhu whistling.gif ), just google up more on breeding if you're willing to breed.. so much to learn and precaution step to take if anything happens such as rejection and others..

However i believe people from this forum are more into neutering rather than breeding gliders... Trust me once your glider starts to breed, they'll continue breeding for their whole life.. For now maybe it's exciting to have a new family members, but once the family starts to grow, you'll have a headache..

Well if you really want a baby, might as well breed once then get the male neutered.. btw, both male and female glider does good as parents.. So i believe you'll be keeping both of the parents right? please do not separate gliders that goes well.. so pity..

Meanwhile since you don't have much glider to take care of, how bout taming the male.. and better yet, take back your female glider and bond with her.. she'll miss you if you let her stay with strangers for a long period.. (breeding will take a quite long time)..

erm... but the worms keep move around... coz wan to escape... so.. the glider will turn abit aggresive.. if i juz put on my palm.. it is okay.. the glider will catch it...

Is ur glider wild or captive bred?
Cos sometimes, the wild ones turns into thier 'kill' mode.
They'll attack the mealworm rather than taking it from u.
My wild pair will attack.
But they r ok now.

dun call me see heng la, pai seh la..
I bought them long ago, few year back where there aren't much captive bred gliders.
bought them from toby's
If u wanna keep WC gliders, please think properly...they r WAY WAY harder to tame compared to joey
from my personal experience, after taming WC, taming joeys is a piece of cake
WC have bad experience with human, they are afraid n terrified of human
cos we take them from their safe place, so they dun trust us
So it takes time to gain their trust..
but can be tame n bonded, sure thing
just need a lot of time n commitment

Sure u kena bash la, haha
Already stated in 1st page that u shouldn't ask for ppl's pet just to mate ma...
summore gliders..
lol!
sure kena from ppl in this forum..

gliders only breed when the condition n environment is right
food, housing, emotion, they all play very important role in breeding
so u have to learn a lot more...
just google it, sure u can find lotsa infos

i dun normally use the word bang.. i like shoot better..
as of company if u choose a male to accompany a female u should know they have high chance of breeding.. so need la do research.. I'm just telling u what u should have known(in my own opinion).. i may be wrong..

you cannot stop a person from doing what they want la.. we can only tell them the consequences.. its better if you choose to shoot those irresponsible shop owners instead..

siokjinlim, sorry... but i have to flame you on this..

hey man, if you're not from lyn that's another story.. but if you're from lyn, joined this thread knows about the consequences and still buying underage ones, you are the one to be blame at! Coz you're supporting those unethical breeders ar pet shops.. get what i mean?

**you = people! (not just you, siokjinlim... blush.gif )
what's past is past, no hard feelings..

Buying a glider is nothing to be addict of, not same like cigarettes.. So you can stop easily what you're doing, by just saying no and walk away..

It's true cannot stop peoples desire, but what we can do is let them know, spread out info and yet, FLAME!!

If ever i could shoot the irresponsible shop owner, I would did that so long time ago when I was a victim too..
It's just that we can't, so hard.. maybe never could..
So what's left is to to try to stop people starting from here..

Guys, never buy underage joeys...
Tell them it's underage if u see one, make them realise we can see
Make them realise it's a mistake
I did make a few of their customer go away, got scolded before too
but too bad, i dowan them to do unethical things
If everyone do their part, pretty sure soon underage joeys will no longer be available in the market

if u say we cant stop people from doing what they want so whats the point shooting the irresponsible shop owners in this? they can do what they want what.. It's about educating people.. blaming people has no point to it but educating them can cause them to educate others and future generations..
we r here not to shoot, it may happen but our main purpose is to educate.. if 1 cant take the shot than ur already dead b4 the "gun" has been shot..

when someone happened to buy an underaged glider, and then came to notice this forum... what for shoot them?? dont screw them and tell them to read 1st page and all.. we must educate them.. assist them.. screwing aka shooting is pointless.. we cannot stop them from buying once they've already bought it... and the reason they come to this forum is to learn... shooting aint gonna help 1 bit...

you can do your part by educating people, but pls dont discourage/criticise them once they already bought the gliders..
at least, the negative effect of getting a glider, so that they can pass on the info, and learn from mistake: eg, young gliders might not live an old age.. more prone to sickness... altho you try to save the glider, but you're only encouraging shops selling them.. etc etc..

dont go telling newcomers, OH SH*T MAN, READ THE 1ST PAGE !! WHO TOLD YOU TO BUY AN UNDERAGE GLIDER.. they will only feel disappointed more than anything... i'm just saying that, as a forumer, turning newcomers off is not the way of educating them... no point crying over spilt milk.. and not everyone has the priviledge to notice this forum before getting a glider...

with that, i rest my case..

siokjinlim, sorry but this one goes directly to you..

if you can't handle the flame, don't bother to post at all..

if you read properly what people are posting, u might have the brain to understand rather than tumbling things upside down. We are saying, if u haven't got one yet, don't get an underage joey.

and again I say, if you weren't from this thread, it's another story if you happen to buy an underage.. the flaming mostly goes to those who were from this thread but still buys an underage joey.. what the hell??!

Man, your post is useless and u r just annoying.. also not helping much here.. if i didn't care, i wouldn't have helped you at all! @$%#&&*

Never say thanks and posting stupid comments! get a life! buzz off!

p/s - reading the first page is important!!!!

usually ppl will read about something
wonder how many ppl will just see and buy

so that why research is needed
like evan said
" one should do research b4 one buys.. one should not do it on impulse specially when it is a lot of years commitment.. "

so with proper research buying underage joey can be avoided

Of course la you'll have gaps between cupboard and bed..
Trust me that'll be the first place they'll gonna run to.. or maybe the curtains...
Just make sure your room is pretty clean..

As long as they can't run away from the room it might be ok..
Erm, you'll need to monitor them all the time when they're out.. especially when it's a new place for them..
If you're worried whether they can get back to cage or not, then just take them and put back to cage la whenever you want them back.. haha easy what..

Send regards to bobo aite!
