i'm not sure bout wht happen,her ears r like being chiped off....her ears no longer pointy...when i got her she is normal,but after about a month her ear started to chip off...it has been almost a year i'm keeping her, n i've been looking for help..(i did't know bout this forum) |

Is it something like crispy ears?
After a while it dropped off? I heard from a friend, but happened for a different reason. He wanted to dry his gliders, overheat n burn the glider's ear. But mine, different case. From what i know,it's probably caused by mites. I asked around in Glidercentral, but nobody really knows what's wrong. Guesses are mites infection. Usually feed them mealworms, mine eats superworms too.
Hold it with ur finger, they'll take it from u. Normally they won't resist worms. Favourite food. Added on April 29, 2008, 4:12 pmn theres dis one petshop in Jalan Tikus, in penang island... long time ago la... bot sure now got or not... they sells lots of exotic pets.. ferrets[like around 5 to 6 albino] n sugar gliders [10-15] in a white bird cage with 2 doors [100cmx42cmx42cm]... pity to the ferrets being caged in a small cage ya... n sumore in an outdoor... coz in the middle of the shop is like an open space dat sunshine can some in... they just setup a roof there, n place these ferrets n Sgs below the rooftop... panas panas!!!  the Sgs have babies k... i mean a lot of babies!!! small baby finger sized... n some got the stripe d... u must wonder how can i see the babies in the pouch? coz not in the pouch d... below the cage... i mean in the tray under the cage of 10-15 adult Sgs. i ask the owner, y the babies like dat wan?? coz dat time me still like stupid stupid ma.. duno much bout pets la i mean...  he says the babies are meant for other reason.. he askd if i wana know? i meant he is like asking if i WANNA SEE! he they takes all the babies in his hand... n askd me to folo hi... i folo la... to the back of the petshop... think what i'm thinking now? reptiles section!!!!!! he feed those babies to the snakes, tarantula, n scorpions!!! arrrggghhhhh!!!!!  wana pengsan... i mean the babies are quite a large num k!!!! n he simpan the babies in the freezer!!! alive k!!! he syas he sell for reptile owner... god god god... please forgive me dat i am unable to do nothing dat time... huhuhuhu so precious summore... summore, gliders dun give birth to a lot of joeys at a time 2 at a time, and they will be in pouch This post has been edited by jitshiong: Apr 30 2008, 04:35 AM |

Sugar gliders are definitely not for those who only have interest and commitment, you have to afford it and willing to provide.. Usually if pet shops are selling adults, most probably they are wild caught ones.. They'll bite till you bleed, crab like hell, running around and sharp claws.. That's a night mare! So much to compare to a cute tame baby that would crave for your love and attention.. (err.. not saying that you should buy joeys from me.. it's up to you la )If you happen to buy a WC adult, please google up taming and bonding techniques. Once bought, no turning back.. Don't end up selling them at lyn garage sale. If I ever encounter your post at garage sale selling WC adults I'll definitely flame you with all my heart!  So take your time thinking and planning.. Think about this first: 1. Have you read the whole first page of this thread? 2. Do you have all the requirements to actually keep & care them? 3. Cage?? accessories?? 4. Am I handsome? and get phone numbers of people that you might wanna call if emergency.. btw, thumbs up! Consulting here before buying is actually a good start. Rather than those who say wanna buy joeys then suddenly end up buying underage ones (no offend guys!) You actually tell us where exactly you're going to buy them.. |

from the msg i think he is saying that he has 2 gliders, 1 female n 1 male and he is trying to breed them..
and that he is trying to find other people with gliders to lend him for breeding.. please learn about information of breeding and i dun think it is suitable to breed them like that.. if they breed it would get attatched so it would have bad concenquences if you seperate them in the end. I personally dun support borrowing gliders to breed and would be mad if that is what ur trying to do also.. peace~ Added on April 30, 2008, 2:59 pmoh yea if u read the threads about breeding u should know they might never breed if they dun think the partner is suitable.. never ever.. so... pandai pandai sendiri la.. guess u didnt do much research on it.. thanks 4 the breakdown bro. well... actually i just keep my female for companion. my friends pass me her male for company my female that all. dont think the gliders is bond to each other. my female still stick to me when ever i got n see them at my friends place. breeding is not for selling btw. just wanna have so offspring to play. my mom love the female very much. |
