is the new xbox with falcon chip 3ROD free? my first 360 console kaput last yr, might wana consider a 2nd one if it's fixed
No, they're not free from 3RRoD but the problem is greatly reduced on falcon. You may ask your console reseller for detail.
IMO falcon is considered good enough as compared to zephyr version of falcon. Some of my friend on it 24/7 to download stuff from live and I'm one of them. Pre-falcon might fail that but so far un-modded falcon machine are ok with it AFAIK.
I dunno the scenario on how falcon caught with 3RRoD. But my guess is on the bad assembly on heatsink. Any experienced repairer for Falcon here?

kah kah kah u serious buddy?
you are on the final lap, and 'Please load disc 2 ' appears? Wouldnt that be an overkill?

I bet its gonna be one disc purely sim, one disc for arcade

I'm seriously replying you, GT2 is indeed shipped with 2CD. each CD had their different usage but I cannot really remember why there's 2 CDs.
If I'm not mistaken one is for GT2 gameplay & another one is for Arcade style.
My GT2 CD & memory card with bajillion dollars of money & all gold license saves are sealed with dust i my hometown now.

you got a point there.
maybe ps3 will have the 3ROD problem once they release a slimmer version of ps3

well they just have to learn from xbox 360 then.
PS3 wont hv 3RRoD for sure....
And here's the reason:-
Mane lah lampu merah tuh?
But talking about overheat, Sony had it on demo & 1st batch consoles.
Can be assume that it "virtually" won't happen for the near future for PS3.
