all slimming stuff are scam...they keep pestering you to buy more products...if really want to be slim and get rid of those fats just go to fitness centre and join their class everyday...i found out that all these slimming centre can survives so long bcoz alot of LAZY gals out there....

I totally and utterly agree with you. I signed up for a package too last year in June 09. cost me a real boom!!!! the beautician told me promotion ends that day also.

i went there to remove my acne problems as advertised in the TV!!!!!!!

BUT who knows after two (2) damn months, from 5 pimples on my cheecks, it spreaded to whole faces.

MY wedding is JULY this year. Can you imagine how frustrated I am with NYSS???

Now I found one beauty centre, a good one indeed around my area. Is at Rampai Business Park, Setapak. Easy to find. Just behind OLD TOWN.

My fren recommend me to go there. The moment I stepped in, the warm smiles and services from the staff charms my heart.

I really love their service and skills.

Now, my whole face is back to normal. Started off in Dec 09. The beautician there told me scar from my previous experience takes time to heal.

I totally understand that. But now with mild makeup on my skin, I am at least PRESENTABLE to public.

Their products are at middle range cost. Not too expensive!!!!

Small salon but good service which really charms your heart immediately.

well, there're so much complaint isn't really about their facial & product,
it's bcos the consumer felt they are given normal facial & normal product but being charge at a premium price.

they are not doing something illegal, just unethical. afterall, they cant swipe your card witout your consent & signature.

for those ladies that really look for branded, well-known international facial treatments and saloon, definitely not NYSS, no no! check out the Pamper Zone in starhill, kanebo international charge facial more expensive than NYSS and got no complaints... some facial in Clarins are cheaper then NYSS, and yes Clarins is a -real international brand-

NEW YORK skin solutions, LOL, people in New York's gonna say "huh? ya sayin'?"

I just signed up a package with NYSS in Jan'10 after trying their RM38 facial. I admit that the lady manager is really good in selling their service. They tell me that they guarantee to cure my acne problem by the end of my 20 session package. However, upon my 1st session the lady whom i signed the package disappear (they say to another branch) & they let me wait for 1/ hour for my facial eevn with appointment. They do not have any curtesy to call to remind on our facial appoinment. The 2nd session is even worst I called them personally to confirm on my appointment but when I reach there they say no room ask me to come in another hour. I paid RM300++ per session & all I get is waiting. The facial session is not pleasant too as they barely touch your face for 1/2 in the 1 1/2 session. 1st, they do double cleansing, then they leave you with the steamer (depend on how fast they finish another customer), it can go up to 1/2 hour just steaming. Then they come back do extraction, randomly extract, then done, proceed with cleansing then mask, simple massage, then gone to another customer. Come back remove mask, you are done. After 10 session, my face got serioud breakout, worse then before I signed up!!! After that, all my session has no massage as they take extra few minutes to do extraction. This is really a 0 star service for a 5 star price!!! This is a con!!!

Those culprit I can't forget them at all. Luckily I don't have credit card. Most of victims I found told me that the beauticians just swiped your credit cards whether or not you have doubt at that time..

What I heard was...one of them snatch away her credit card from her hand and swiped it immediately! I too feel bad because on the free trial session, there are only 2-3 breakouts...after they detected the "hidden" acne and extract them....they made my face become worst! whole evening everyone is staring my face like I have rosacea! Even my bf see me with terror and wondering why should someone face become worst after facial??????

They also have this "conversation-negotiation-persuasion-that ended up with frustation" if you have a soft heart. My advice to all of you who are about to enter their jerangkap samar.....don't ever think to try their products..apatah lg to go to the facial....

Unless...if u love challenge and want to try their first trial because it is free...go ahead if you are ready to make your face become worst! (the challenge I mention here is to know your negotiation skills and to test whether you have a soft heart or stone head heart)

I went to NEW york skin solution jz now. I had heard my friend that the service they are giving damn bad if you just go for FREE trial! thn my point is i will go n try. From the time they give me the consultation till the service of doing facial , it is running pretty well, warm smelling. After finish, they compared to let you see the effect! that's the time they want you to sign up their package~!! yeah there it's start!! I don't want to sign up for any package even though my pocket got money, then the consultant said she would willing to help me by recommending Home care DIY product worth 1800, then i reject it too!!! now start, she asked me to wait and went out to take something for me to sign. Meanwhile, the other consultant come in, ask this ask that, trying to pursue me , argue with me thn go out. THe 2nd other come in, said u should take care since ur skin already got problem, also trying to pursue me to take even 1 time treatment. The 3rd consultant come in , she said " Miss u're really very wasted our treatment because our treatment is for those who need and those who really want to take care about their skin. everyone will sign up with our package after they done the first trial!! And you are only aiming the free trial but not appreciate it !" I was really pissed off. f***ing them!!!

During more than 95% time on the consulting, they just said a package, another package,

I went there for like 3 months, and i've spent about 3k. The thing is, they are very convincing at first and ask you to buy stuff in order to cure your acne.

but, trust me, they are a bunch of scammers. please think twice before you go there.

Is time for me to contribute. I jz came back from the 1st trial. I kinda like the service because I could see a major difference, before and after, and even my mom noticed that my skin is fairer. Tho after reading the article here, upset me a little.

Anyhow, I do think there is a need for me to share my experience. Knowing how they work (like yun name-where I was also a customer), I pretended to be a student this time.

Instead of being "forced" to sign up a 2k package, I ended up signing a package worth RM540, with 3 treatments + 1 cheaper treatment. I like their treatment esp the one, with machine, as could really see the difference. So per treatment (excluding the foc treatment), is RM180, which i think is fair.

Except that I got cheated by the free gift. I was told that I would be given 2 masks but after signing the package, I was only given 2 paper masks, which are not even masks but she claimed that to be.

Since i got the treatment for so cheap, I din argue with him.

May i assume that I got the best package so far?

i think their price ard RM200 no matter how to change their package unless u request more free products.

New York Skin Solution is very unethical. I signed a package for 8 courses last year May 2012. Once you signed, they don't even bother to give you a good facial treatment.

Anyway, recently they call me for treatment. well since i already paid, i went. But this time they lock me in the room, and desperately ask me to sign for another 20 sessions. What is the point because i only manage to used up 4 sessions, with the remaining 4 sessions.

And during this 4th course, they are me to sign another package for RM 4,400 for 20 sessions. They beg and beg and beg for 1/2 hour, but i rejected them because the reason is i still have 4 sessions to finish, why sign for new ones. Finally, just because they are lack of room to con other potential customers, they let me go and ask me not to to come again, Jokingly.

Hard lesson learn and anyway, their services SUCKS!

Please who ever read this DON'T be CONNED by New York Skin Solution. even in year 2013.

woah.didnt know NYSS is this bad until i read this thread.they always come out in tv commercial,even have this one special program just to promote their service.luckily i never bother about this skin care program stuff.

Went there for additional info bout their services 3 yrs ago but their attitude sucks & let u stand there without ppl asking what ur looking for. Never turn back after that.

Yes New York Skin is that BAD. All they care is to sigh you in and get your money. No after sales services. And they can make you stand at the counter like idiot.

Anyway their treatment just does not help.

They are very clever at taking photo of your face before and after treatment.
Before treatment, they will use a dim light, and after treatment they will use a bright light to take your face photo. Hence, this will make your face looks clearner after treatment.

Sometimes, I wonder why do people pay so much for beautician for issues like acne; whence they could have easily seen a dermatologist?! Its much cheaper and proven.

Cosmetic as the name implies, its just cleansing the problem at the surface level and not the root. For a short stint you are going to "feel" fresh and clean face, but it aint gonna last.

Folks, stop wasting your hard earned money; unless you like to go there, suka suka aje...

Hi all, here to share my story as well.

I'm with NYSS since 2009, as my facial problem (acne and scar) do improve after I undergo facial treatment there.

However, their service need loads of improvement. Once I've made an early appointment, say at 11am, and I happened to arrive there early by 15 minutes, one of the front desk staff asked why am I early and literally kick me out of the place, ask me to come back at 11am. so since it was partially my mistake for "being early", so I just hang around and went back 15 minutes later.

Usually after a facial treatment, they will get you to sign a form indicating you have used which treatment and some details of the treatment. There's one time I found out that my consultant forge my initial for one of the items on the form. I questioned my consultant, and she explained it was for one of my payment (for the facial package), and they are having some audit, and couldn't get me to come in time to sign the form. With that explanation, I accepted it but warn her if it happen again, I will report her to the management.

The most recent incident, another appointment made and confirmed, this time say at 1pm, I reached there at about 1.10pm, inform the staff to call my consultant, and waited for 10 minutes. By that time I was getting impatient to get my treatment started, since it was 20 minutes past my appointment time. Then my consultant came out from the treatment room, and told me to wait for another 30 more minutes. This time I was at rage and scold them, that they are wasting my time, waiting for them. What fury me more was I could use the 20 minutes of waiting for them, to pak toh with my bf.

Anyway I found another facial saloon, sales team not as pushy as NYSS, pricing cheaper especially during their carnival sales, product better than NYSS and gives out free treatments (2 free treatments per year). NYSS never give ANY free treatment since I joined in 2009, except for the free trial.

how to differentiate between a scam and a product which just doesnt work for us?

like makcik A can offer nasi lemak RM1 and say sedap, mak cik B can offer rm10 nasi lemak and say sedap as well.
some prefer makcik A say "it is sedap and murah" and some may say "nasi lemak B is sedap and worth the money." some might find nasi lemak A tak sedap thus "patutlah murah." and some might find out nasi lemak B as tak sedap "harap ja mahal"

when u have the option to judge and choose, i can choose A or B at my will,even tho i might pay more it is my own decision..

if both makcik say "hey buy my nasi lemak, you can cure cancer by eating it 5x/day" regardless they sell it rm1 or rm1000, i can justify it is some sort of scam. false claim.
