I also signed their packages 2 years ago, their prices really shocked me!
But honestly, they solve my skin problem in first 2-3 session
However, they recommend some skincare which turn my skin from OILY to EXTREMELY DRY!
After 10 session,they persuade me to sign for another packages again!
And I always have to purchase some additional skincare after each treatment!
After all, I decided not to going to their saloon again, thats a waste!

New York Skin really suck. They still call me and give free gifts to con me to renew contract.

Folks, please avoid New York Skin at all cost.

All their beautifician are true-money-sucking-minded people. Instead of curing you, they are thinking ways to con you more of your $.

You may ask why? Make it short.
- me and my wife go for free trial. Facial was good, long duration (2hrs) and professional. After that, they will try very hard to please you to sign for packages, which we did.
- after signing packages, everything went the opposite - from bad, short duration (1 hr) and not-so-professional attitude.

Put it simple, before signing package, they treat u like a king and queen. After signing, they treat you as non-vip client, and keep on asking you to sign more packages.

We still have 2 more facial to go and now they are trying real hard to please us.

PPLLLSS AVOID THIS MONEY SUCKING MINDED FACIAL CENTRE.

i visited NYSS last week for the first time and the beautician was extremely pushy.
i was persuaded to sign up for a 10 sessions treatment by installment.

is there anyway to terminate it?

despite their bad services, any reviews abt their treatments? isit good?

Wow ..l thanks for sharing, recently there are frequent discounted voucher selling in Groupon for NYSS, well in view I might got trapped in a room to waste my time listening to those consultant & non professional service after signing those package.

I will think twice now.

LOL.. I think I too got my fair share in NYSS. Out of boredom, saw a deal in Groupon and called immediately for an appointment on the same day. Was lucky because there isn't much customer, so they can slot me in anytime on the same day (seriously buy the Groupon same day itself!)

The consultant was really boasting that she can solve my acne breakout and pigmentation if I were to follow her instructions and schedule. After checking my skin, went into their cubicle for the facial treatment (quite nice )

After the facial, here comes the real deal, it took 20 mins for the consultant to persuade me of which I had suspected the below:

1) first, she recommend me to solve the acne, must come every week. my answer is that I cannot commit the time as I am a frequent traveler both work and personal. - then she recommend me to use the products when I am away big no no eh? first you boast at your treatment, now just using your products will do?

2) the before and after result wasn't really convincing and her customers before and after shown were on a different person. e.g Show customer A before left cheek, but the after was on the right cheek of Customer B. hahahaha..

3) she totally scared me on my face needs urgent treatment else the breakout will reoccur (Thank God I found this thread ) but then again, I am travelling tomorrow (showed her my flight ticket as evidence), she then divert again to her product which sounds her facial treatment isn't useful at all.

So to do a closure, I told her to let me try Shiseido's facial first (showing her my voucher from Shiseido) before deciding. (again she hard sell to try both facial treatment - do I look like I print money or what? ) just give me her namecard and I am off my way.

Yup yup, you guys should check the forum first before parting with your money. Recently my friend got conned in New York Skin Jusco Kepong branch too.

Same things happen to me one year ago at Shakura Pigmentation Beauty centre. I comes in by coupon distributed. They check, they cleanse and they compare and I decided to put away their offer. But the beauty consultant very desperate to sign me on their package. I give a reason that I have to discuss with my partner first. She insists I am adult I can make the decision myself and insists me and pushing me to sign. In the end, she is so fierce and forced me and signed the plan. After that I went back home and told my partner, he went to the centre and scolded the consultant and refund my money back. From the day onward, I will avoid to passby the centre at all cost. I hate them

Mannn... I should have checked with all site before doing anything w NYSS.

I paid a small sum of deposit, then I changed my mind and now the customer service lady in HQ is helping me to get my full refund back.

I think the staffs/beauticians there isnt very educated. Because they showed me a photo of the back of a receipt that states no refund would be given for goods/services sold, but it doesnt apply to me, cause I didnt receive anything for the money i paid, and said it applies to me. 🙄

I also read elsewhere on the internet that it is very susah for them to refund in cash. But they obviously dont mind to refund in product or treatment as they offered me 3 times.

My bank asked me to file a police report against NYSS, and a dispute case with my bank against NYSS. Naise bank teller. ☺️

That's why i will never go back to this facial skincare. Waste of money bcs i've been there even though first time they said it's free but in the end you have to pay wtf

Not necessarily. Its like taking meds vs supplement. Both haf their place. That being said, i think its logical to avoid bad reviewed skin care center. Not just any york ...

They really takut I write to newspaper, file a report with police, and make a claim against them in the Consumer Tribunal.

At first tell me i need to forfeit RM180, from my RM500 I made, for penalty and admin fee for my cancellation of package.

I said no to that, then they reduce RM180 to RM75. Then I decided, DEAL! Don't feel like giving them anymore of my energy.

They made me sign a contract stating my refund, how will they take to refund me (2months), do not bad mouth them hahahahahha!!!!

Whatever happens to you, if u have some sort of case like this with them, go to their customer service manager, they'll do all the discussion and bank-in cheque for you.

Yes really hard-sell. Go to their so-called 'free treatment' collagen facial last month.

I keep on rejecting and consultant so pushy... I explained that it's too expensive and unaffordable, then she still offer... keep saying that my case is serious, need 20 treatment to see result.

I said no, firmly no, then she offer downsizing package, said at least 5treatment is minimum to enjoy 50% offer. And offer only valid on that day I register at their branch, will not valid after that day. 20>10>5 treatment negotiate.

In the end, I agreed to become their member which cost me 730 entitled to 3 treatment and 50% discount buy their product (instead of 20 treatment package which cost 5800, real crazy)

Sigh.... After these 3 times won't go to visit anymore.

Now I am even scared to use these 3times left, too hard sell
