Need help here please..

I registered with Paypal on 23rd December 2009. When I received my credit card statement recently I noticed I was charge total of USD5.85 paid to PayPal (USD1.95 each per transaction X 3)

Does anyone know what is the charges for? I have never utilised the service. I am not able to send them e-mail inquiry or get help online.

They charge that to your credit card. Look at the statement. There'a 4 digit code. Log in to paypal, verify your credit card by keying in this code. This money appears in your paypal account. Sometimes it takes a few days.

They do this to verify that you're the actual owner of the credit card you're using on paypal. If your credit card is unverified, there's a limit on how much money you can use. This limits their losses if it's a stolen card.

It should be just USD1.95 one time. Did you do the verification 3 times?

to get ur paypal verified,there is 1 time payment,USD 1.95.check ur statement.but,its a one time charge only,not multiple charge

can public bank debit card used to verify, add funds into paypal and withdraw paypal fund into bank account?

what i should do to obtain a debit card? any processing fee involved during the registration process?

Only $1.95 will apply to yr debit card but after verify te $1.95 will be debit to yr account paypal.

Yes, PB debit card can be used to verify your Paypal. I did it with Public Bank Visa Electron debit card.
Go to any Public Bank nearest to you and ask about PBVE card. The customer service is very good I must say =)

USD1.95 charged for verification. After you received your monthly statement, you'll get the 4 digit code and use it to redeem that USD1.95 back from Paypal.

i just register public bank visa vedit card (not visa electron) and already went thorugh the process of link the card to my paypal account. now waiting for the code and redeem back.

I just made a new account and wanted to verify it using RHB's CashConnect Debit card (Mastercard) but it ended up always giving me this error:



What could be the reasons for it to be denied? I have a decent sum of money in the account the card is linked to so I'm sure its not because of insufficient funds. Also, I have tried activating and logging into RHB Bank's internet banking to see if does anything but still no help there. I might have missed something along the way while registration or such so anyone who's experienced using RHB Debit card to please guide me here?

So far, I suspect it could be because I was a little confused when first registering the account. As I have a pure Chinese name (I'll use KENG AH BAH as an example here), I entered KENG as my first name and then AH BAH as my last name so that it will appear correctly (As KENG AH BAH) and thus match exactly the name I have registered with the bank. Is this acceptable or do I have to ditch this account (Which is still new and has no cash in it) and create a new one and correct the name instead? Considering that the paypal name and bank account name must match exactly... Also, does the age of the debit card matter? As I was only issued this card days ago.

If RHB Bank's debit card really cannot be used for verifying, I'm thinking of applying for alternative cards. I'm so far considering getting either a Tune money card or a PB Electron debit card. I know Tune money has a cheaper annual fee but the extra charges for other services might offset PB's Electron debit card's annual fee over time. If I were to use it only to verify the paypal account and withdraw money into the card with the occasional online shopping (Without paypal), which is better?

Yesterday 25 Jan 2010 i just withdraw my paypal fund to my maybank...
Yesterday i check the status on paypal is panding.
Today 26 jan 2010 i check again status on paypal is complete..
Then i check on my maybank but my duit tak masuk lagi....
Or its take another 1-2 days to clear it?
confuse with paypal status = complete..
this is my first time withdraw paypal fund to maybank...
dont know anything...

paypal needs 2-3days to process those money to you bank and charges rm3, if the fund withdraw
less than rm400 or above....
