QUOTE(laurence @ Mar 15 2011, 10:30 PM) yes, a lot of ppl applied for this position as management trainee... d interviewers are nice, 2 ladies... since i am applying for credit analyst, they asked me how to process the loan... i didnt prepare much on it, so i just simply answer them... then, the others are just a normal conversation with them... but they will ask whether u keen to join sales? I just reject it without think twice...Hence, I still duno they wanna hire me or not... usually takes how long time to get informed regard the outcome of d interview? anyone know? how long they spent to called you for interview??

since you're going for a management trainee position, there's a likelihood that you'll be placed to work in the hire purchase deparment at the taman maluri branch. do not accept the job if they're going to place you there.

the working culture there is terrible. aside from the long hours, you're forced to come back on saturdays. you're just going to be pushed to process as many cases as possible so that the marketing officers & managers meet their KPIs, which in turn make them look good. on paper, you're a trainee, but they don't actually care about your learning experience.

QUOTE(liawkz @ Mar 17 2011, 10:59 PM) then how about the salary increment?have bonus? i don't know the actual amount as i didn't stay long enough to receive them. if there are those who stayed long enough there to receive bonus/increments, maybe they can tell you how much it is. however, with such working conditions there, whatever "bonus" or "increments" is more like a payback for the damages to your health, sacrifices to your family time etc.

Ive called them back before but all i got was the general line and they couldnt determine who called me and why. So, just wait and they will call you again, if its important

Hey guys, Public Bank has been hiring plenty of people lately as credit analysts and sales management trainees. If yall are looking for a job, you should apply there. The pay is pretty standard for all Mgt Trainees at RM2.8k.
Interviewers are all super nice and make you feel comfortable as well. My 2nd interview, the director of corporate planning took me out for coffee!!

Another thing, what helped me win the position i think was the fact that i spoke. ALOT. Upon going into the 1st interview room, shake their hands and just begin talking about yourself without being asked. You ask THEM if you can begin to tell them about yourself. Then talk till the cows come home. Questions asked will not be super difficult. Just do light reading on Public Bank and their mission statements and whatnot. The hardest question that was asked is "What would your friends say about you?" Good luck to all the applicants, i hope i helped somewhat Added on March 18, 2011, 10:33 amQUOTE(LivingLife @ Mar 18 2011, 10:18 AM) How long u actually receive calls from them after u send your cv? 3 days but that was because i met them at a networking event in Taylors This post has been edited by dryll: Mar 18 2011, 10:33 AM

Not experienced in interviews at all, man. Was taught how to act and what to say by my brother who is a head of a department in Astro. I was offered the Management Trainee in Corporate Planning and Strategy and my qualifications are a degree in management, majoring in marketing and finance. Got a 2.9 GPA which is low, but in my defence, i have working experience coz i worked while i studied as an event coordinator

Just know how to carry yourself and youll be fine. Many people let the interviewer do the talking. Think of answering questions even before they are asked
