My area too... I'm from Manjung Perak but they said the stock will arrive by next week.

I get the information from the Maxis service shop in my area.
At 1st, they told me that there's no stock and if i want i have to go to Maxis HQ in Ipoh. So my dad asked phone number of Ipoh HQ and when we called it , found that the number is not available . So the next day went back to that Maxis shop again, then they said that the promotion already extend to end of May and the stock shall be available by next week and asked us to leave them our contact number that once got stock they will call us and went home. After about an hour , receive call from maxis saying there's a stock lol.. A customer had being blacklist so his/her modem become ours and they asked us want or not the modem. That's how i got my modem 

About the maxis promotion extention , it was Maxis told me and i just share with you all, don't blame me if there's any mistake >.<

Nope. All providers except U Mobile has EDGE. DiGi's EDGE is more famous than the rest because it's stable and fast.

So  what is the different between EDGE , HSDPA and WCDMA ?? >.<

To unlock the modem, we need an Unauthorized sim card , is it normal mobile phone sim card?

So far as far as I have found, there are three modes in Huawei's dialer :

WCDMA = slow but really stable (maybe this is actually EDGE ?)

HSDPA = 3.6/7.2 Mbps download, 384 kbps upload, stable-ish

HSPA = 3.6/7.2 Mbps download,  5.8 Mbps upload, cna be really unstable if you have a weak signal.
You usually need more than that

wcdma uses 2g...hsdpa uses 3g....
not every part in marehsia haz 3g.... for instant, my kampung place here uses gprs which iz slower

ok, so its really still got one more month to slowly decide to get it or not, heheh. but how come i could not find this notice on the maxis website?

Using in car on Plus highway, keeps fluctuating from GPRS to WCDMA (no EDGE?). If set to "WCDMA only" it will keep DC.

if set wcdma only..the modem will remember lah..
even installing on another computer, automatically set to wcdma only..
