My friend, it seems that the price of this practice kit is going up fast.
Namqul said that he saw it at RM4xx, after that, I saw it at RM560, and now you say it's >RM650. Incredible price hike, wow. |

dude, for hihats you should check out the zildjian ZHT's if you got the cash... especially the ZHT mastersounds, theyre said to be compareable to Avedis Mastersounds
and for the crash I think a Sabian B8Pro, XS20 or Zildjian ZHT medium-thin should do you justice... but if you can afford something more expensive by all means get a nice AA, or Avedis... If you got a tight budget but want good cymbals, stagg is good, but a little bit too trashy for my taste, if you want a china staggs the way to go but if you want a nice bright clean crash, i dont think stagg is the right choice... its personal preference, please specify on the sound you hope to get... maybe we could help you out abit more... |

hey guys,
thanks for the advice. yes i cant deny that i also need some classes to make sure im on the right track. will work on this soon after my band's gig next month at least. oh ya my band "DarkMaze" will be performing in a gig at Skizo Shemelin on the 17th may. Do drop by if u guys can n give us some moral support. We can also get to know each other better. The drummers paradise is too long to ever able for me to catch up,too many post already. Therefore i prefer to post here. Otherwise i wudnt know where to start, lol. I'm thinking of getting the stagg crash as its still in my afforadability range. DH or SH if im looking for a sound in between "the crash and a splash" and wot diameter? For my hihat which needs replacement. im thinking of getting a 13inch or slightly smaller but heavy type, coz i play it opened very frequently. wot do my bros think? n which to get if my budget is around rm200-400? and oh ya, regarding this sticker like thingy adhered to the bass drum surface where the beater hits. On my set is currently having a single sticker, but im using double pedal. Is it necessary for me to get a double sticker? Will the beater damage the kicker skin if i dont? Im very very new with hardwares as i just got my drumset just 2months ago. Besides that ive been looking up n down for a free symbian s60 compatible metronome software. Something like those in w610 called "music mate" will be perfect. Does any hv em? Its really handy during jamming n practicing;) I believe i can get great advices here. So lets share our knowledge. Will be posting the pic of my set here real soon if im allowed;) Keep the drumming spirit burning guys! |
