omg now 6.2kbps download speed, last night I can reach 30kbps

Is there something wrong with Screamyx or what? My modem's LAN led keeps blinking non-stop at night and I couldn't connect to the internet(although the status showed I'm connected). Then I had to switch off and wait for a while to switch it on without problem again. And after a few minutes it happened again. I don't think it's my modem or router's problem because at other time of the day I don't have this problem. Only at night...???

lodge a report TMnet CS. they can check yr status "connect/disconnect from system"

60.48 seems the nicest ip for me in PD to bt.. =.-!!! tried getting 60.48 but cant.. on off my modem for nearly 20times cant get it.. 60.50 seems ok for me.. aii cant hit 30kbs+ now usually 15-25kbs..

Woah! Streamyx users have no idea how lucky they are...

I signed up with the, what I wouldn't call the best ISP in Kuala Lumpur or Malaysia, izzi / izzinet... I was actually expecting speeds of up to half of advertised speeds! (lol right)

I want to upgrade to Streamyx!!!
Since becoming a member a few weeks ago of fun loving iZZi, I have learned the following:
- Tech support, Customer support non-existant
- Saturday is a day off for Internet
- Sunday is a "only text internet browsing allowed"
- 5:00pm means 5kbps speed limit in place for download
- Upload speed = LMAO
When signing on to iZZi Internet, there is a disclaimer hidden in the back of the internet page that states:
"iZZi Internet is not really an ISP, we have a few towers in KL that support 20 people at top speed, the advertised speeds assume you are one of the 20 people on that tower and there is no more then 20 people connected. As subscriptions increase into iZZi "Internet Sharing", we will not be spending additional revenue on towers or hardware to improve service. We need to pay commissions to the thousands of iZZi salespersons, our 1 outsource IT leader, and the legion of Marketing reps."

iZZi is a great Internet Sharing company... I truly want to work in their Marketing department, with all the pre-paid 1 year package they are selling, they must be laughing all the way to the bank. I could improve their marketing greatly with my new slogan for them...

iZZi... while others provide youtube, live streams video and audio and photo sharing, we provide you with the best of internet text from inside your car, while you drive up to speeds of up to 100 Km/H in rush hour traffic KL with a starbuck in one hand, your knee at the wheel and fingertips on your laptop accessing the latest news in a format lesser then a phone can provide you!

I do love the speedtest provided by izzi website, it is FAST! I get speed of up to 600 kbps!!!!... of course if I use any other local, non-local, global, asian etc. speedtest, I get speeds of up to 60kbps!.. I think izzi misplaced the dot "."

Exactly my thought here., if they complain about slowness, whats for us then..?? Snailness??

yeah and suddenly last night it was ok. It's crazy because EVERYTIME I complain here about something Screamyx-related, then the next day(s) all will be normal...then after a while it comes back again...

Just like us, we compare our speed to other country like US, Singapore, and so on. The Americans also compare their speed to other European country, and the US ones are very expensive in comparison to them. US ISP also does alot of throttling, and some even limit the monthly usage to 60GB, if you use more than that, your line will cut off, and you have to wait for your new quota next month.

You can see these complains in their tech forum like hardocp.com, lol...

Above speed test were taken from Jaring Data Centre and TM Data centre.

Speed test to Los Angeles : (HOME Streamyx 1.5Mbps > Data Centre (Jaring/TM) > Speedtest@losAngeles)
Jaring - 222ms - 1000+kbps
TM - 320ms - 172kbps / 91kbps.

I just hope more people use WiMax which makes Streamyx lines less congested. Everyone who can should transfer to WimaX . I don't want to use wireless even when it's introduced in Malacca unless online gaming latency is stable. I'm sure that it won't be and wired is the way to go still. I'm just hoping there will be less strain on TMnut internet backbone.

Today after 2weeks my line is back to normal. I'm getting sick of this roller coaster net. They close Olympics they open my internet bandwidth for me. This is really F retarded. I phone customer support other day some guy came over said all is fine. I showed him YouTube + many other sites having problems same ol answer. That is international lines we cannot assure you of line quality and speed to those servers. IT'S THEIR FAULT AND PROBLEM! .

It's like talking to parrots they just repeat the same ol BS! non stop. Even parrots can learn more words these stupids apes will never learn. I saw on their web site upgrading e-mail services till 2nd Sept what the hell are they creating GMAIL MF Malaysia. I hope after that date they don't upgrade anymore. Really TMnut you can stop your bullshit upgrading please just leave your internet line alone your like monkeys that have an itch every second of the freaking day. Always have to tinker with the software and hardware and just cause more breakdowns in your pursuit of UPGRADE
