Streamyx is totally overpriced..., RM66 just for 512k? Thats totally outdated.., plus, their ports always got problem, even after created report, and being "fixed"...

You see., i have a Romanian friend who is staying at Scotland, and she has a 2Mb , with 18 pound per month.., and she say, her connection package is outdated there and many using wireless already....

And i was like...??? blink.gif

So.., why RM66 is 512k only.., 18 pounds in MYR is RM112 around.., but., really cant compare with the currency.., you know.., nowdays everything rises, here and there, 10 bucks also need ot think carefully before using it.., and RM66 can buy alot of things at supermarket if you know how.

What i am trying to say here is.., i don't know about others.., but RM66 is lot to me..., as for my Scotland friend, imagine 66GBP with 512K package? THats alot too., she can buy quite plenty of gloceris already with that money.., it's the same here, their 18GBP is cheap, and so as ours, RM18 for a 2MB......., their 66GBP can buy some groceris, and so does RM66...

So, i totally think that TMNUT should cut the price off, make it RM30 for 512k.., coz, it's not worth that muc h plus, RM66 is really too much for a 512K.., with buggy connections..

Last, but not least, thanks for created this topic to let me rant, else......, well, i hope i am not the only one who agrees that Streamyx 512K is overprices, so does their others packages....

Lol, 512k is already very slow for me.., and RM30 for 384k is too much too..., should be RM 15, lol......, coz, if 15pounds for 384k at Europe there, people will burn the company down lol..

Read my previous post, i was talking about their 18 pounds for a 2Mb broadband which consider outdated there, so, i was thinking, why dont RM18 get the same thing too???

Streamyx charges is overpriced.., overrated, even..

dun compare the infrastructure of europe and asia

you have to compare with south east asia.

the way you saying is untrue

18 pound consider cheap for them due to.
1st: they earn 2k pound and pay 18 pound for connection
2nd: we earn 2k rm and pay rm78 for connection

of course our standard living wont be higher

and hell, i happy with paying rm78 if the stupid connection is constant nice, i having stupid request timeout for 2 weeks.

today the tmnet call me, i shoot back them, they told me they doesnt check for home user, i say please say again ur word and i would like to record down what you say.

and i told her, if you guys only check for company line and not adsl for home user? so what for we subscribe streamyx?

i insist of speaking with thier team leader, and i insist, you either send a technician down, or you get complain from mcmc and ask ur team leader read the news tomorrow.
*
Still, RM78 is too much..., if not why i am still using rm66..., for 512k, it's plain lousy connection for its price.., RM66 better go and isi minyak leh.. ohmy.gif

Maybe because i am an online gamer, thats why, it's very important for me to have a fast and stable connection..., and yet the charges is like skyrocket.., it's never affordable.. shakehead.gif Still i don't understand why we can't have the connection for the same price..?? Unless all the related material has to be imported..., else uses our own one will become worst more... hmm.gif

Like that, maybe we all should go to Euro there to uses this technology and plus., no need to stay up morning for UERO 2008.. sweat.gif

Yeah don't compare Malaysia to Europe, we are a 3rd world country laugh.gif

We should be compared to Africa, maybe Afghanistan.
*
Lol, but then if we want to more advance then we should compare to those who already achieve that stage and follow it.., i wonder whether TMNUT do not have this kind of mindset, that why they never improves.. shakehead.gif

i never think tmnut wanna keep improve their service...cos i cant feel it...
did you have the same feeling?
*
=/, i think some of you are right.., no other company giving single competition.., so.., i actually think that they earn too much over the packages as 512k is really nothing behind it.., but they don't want to cut off the price because they want to earn more.. sad.gif

OMG, drool.gif i just realize we have big group here, come., lets form a company and give competition with better quality and price, we can do it! icon_idea.gif

Thanks for digging up the info Xtryfe, hmmm., so, they can have $32 for 3MB? While we rm32 gets nothing, and if convert the currency, thats around RM77, but we RM77 only 1MB, WTH?!!

I don't mind rm77 for 3MB, meaning, RM66, we should get 2MB, RM 55, we get 1MB, still pretty expensive..., better than before only.., IF ONLY..

IanLim RM77 3MB  wiping drool.gif from my face. I should be paying RM55 right now for my 1mb package. I like how our prices are so high but service  shocking.gif could send me to a mental hospital.

Also another thing that is good about Singtel is they monitor games. Look at this thread http://www.singnet.com.sg/dedacc1/online_gaming.asp  notworthy.gif

If you talk about game ping and latency issues to our TMnut well 1st thing they do is blame the game 2nd blame international link and if the game has a host in Malaysia blame the other host.  doh.gif  wub.gif

I play WOW on [Mal'ganis server/US Realm] and my ping was so high i talked to TMnet showed tracert everything they didn't get it. Finally i called California and talked to Blizzard rep after sending mails and proof of my ISP failures they said they would phone our admin people in TM and fix this issue. In like 4 days my net connection was back to normal and they mailed me having resolved the issue with my ISP. Now that is what i call bloody service  notworthy.gif
*
Actually 3Mb also very outdated liao, lol.. BUt for SEA standard, i think Singapore won it all.. rolleyes.gif

OMG, what a hell experience you went through with TMNUT, you even called to the US? OMG!! shakehead.gif

We really need an alternative ISP , like Firefox, an alternate to IE... thumbup.gif

SOmebody here please start an ISP business, then if not enough modal, we all share and become share holders, ok mah? Lol!! icon_rolleyes.gif thumbup.gif sweat.gif

XD LMAO, shocking.gif a new ISP, is it true ..??!! O...O

Free somemore shocking.gif ? Walau eh! rclxms.gif

What the package and price? i am willing to pay, as long as it is worth and not expensive.., hmm, i actually thinking about FREE ISP if this is possible., like, our phone got connected, as long as you have phone line, we can online already, just like how we make normal call, as long as we have phone line, we can to anywhere to the world...

Based on this theory, one can actually uses the net for free but of cause have to pay Telekom land line fees..., still it's ok because my mum loves to cook "phone porridge", lol..

Hmm., but i am not clear about the technology, lol, maybe we really need to go and see how people do in the Europe then come back to apply what we have learnt, but.., naah, i think we go there watch UERO 2008l better, airfares not cheap at all.. sweat.gif sweat.gif

Sigh, everything i know like "half bucket of water" only.., "jin pai seh !" blush.gif

LOL free net. Even the idea of it could end you up in Jail. If you even try implementing it you probably get chased off the country. Streamyx is like a parasite they will latch onto us and suck us dry for every penny we are worth. Only way i see us having alternative providers is when satellite broadcasting becomes the next big thing. Then you could use something like Paypal and pay for your net connection. I don't see our government letting any other ISP rivaling TMnut vmad.gif.

There are alternative choices in certain parts of the country like KL, Klang, Penang but sadly Melaka is not 1 of em. I might have to head over to my condo in KL just to be able to use the net sanely. I was bored and did some lookups on alternatives in my state tried Jaring sadly their coverage doesn't include my area boo hoo cry.gif.

I heard from a friend of mine TNB might be launching net connection through your plug in electrical points. I doubt he is telling me the truth or even there is such a thing. If there is i wouldn't mind trying it out. I would never use wireless though because it really isn't stable enough when playing online games so that sucks big time.

Soon EURO 2008 is about to come to an end bloody hell why doesn't Astro come out with a satellite connection via their Astro package hmm.gif.
*
I don't understand, i am not doing any crime, i just provided better service..., of cause must apply license and everything... TMNUT sux our money and sux at their service and yet so expensive.., if i have apportunity i will setup an alternative ISP, i want to be Firefox.

Hm, i am not not from Kl, but Selangor is near KL, not much alternative at all and the price is very expensive, such as Maxis broadband, Celcom broadband, etc...

And i agreed with you for wireless it's suck for online gaming.. sad.gif

Off topic too,Wait, you forgot Air Asia., which is a very strong competitor to MAS. Tony Fernandez not even from the airline field, he was a manager from entertainment industry, but who would have thought..??

Air Asia now even got to KLSE while MAS was down to drain was saved by the government once more.. One big joke on MAS is now the CEO urges to show our royalty to this country by taking MAS service, does he even know what he was talking about..?? Air Asia become very successful in just a few years time..

So, there was Air Asia, an alternate to MAS. It's tough, but if we can get our hands together on this., we wil be the Firefox over TMNUT.. flex.gif

Yup have to agree. Problem is it's very risky business going up against a huge monopoly economy and to top it up government backed if they run into any problems. I am sure large ISP providers in US, Europe hell i even bet you SingTel from Singapore would love to come into our market to get a bigger share of the pie brows.gif.

If they do their research before coming into this market for sure they can hear us screaming icon_question.gif. They won't even need to right away set up 4mb connection but stable 1/2mb connections. Get peoples confidence in their service then roll out the upgrades to the network. My friends in Singapore all taunt me how funny Screamyx cry.gif. Always say i should just head over to their country rclxm9.gif. Only problem i feel that country a bit like a jail with too many rules wacko.gif.

I swear to god soon we be hearing people in Zimbabwe having faster connection then us that is the day i fly a plane into TMnut! ph34r.gif
*
LMAO, Zimbabwe..... laugh.gif

Hmm., i tried to digged something about ISP from that country., cant find a package with its price.. rclxub.gif

Another stupid #@$#@%# experience with TMNUT today, i wasn't able to browse on certain website, and i end up always calling to the call centre, the support reset the port, everything is resolved... tongue.gif

So., that day, same thing happens again, the support suggested made a report because he says is not my modem problem else i won't able to logon to the net at all, ok., so, they made a report, the next morning, i got a call said the port here they fixed, whatever, any problem please refer back to the report.., report closed.. smile.gif

Then yesterday, same thing happens again, i called, the support reset the port, is working again, again the support suggested to make a new report, i see no point.., still i want to see if they have any new method to solves the problem.. drool.gif

This morning, i suddently saw an incoming call indicator from my own home, strange, nobody is calling that time.., so, i thought must be mistake, i ignored it, until my house phone rang and my dad pick up, oh is the technician calling me., he wonder why i didn't pick my handphone, i was thinking, "wtf? call my hp using my house phone, waaah, he no need to pay oh, smart S!" mad.gif

So the technician says, they check no problem with the port at my area, and request to come to my house to check on my pc.., he suspects maybe modem problem or virus.., i was thinking "wtf?! This is newly upgraded, fresh installed PC, where got virus??" mad.gif I said, how to check, this problem doesn't happens all the time, it happens sometimes, and only on certain website, but it resolves by reset port from call centre... Seems, i had already called yesterday, and the port reset, sure they will not able to detect whats went wrong..., but he keep on arguing if i don't let him check on my house how they gonna know what the problem, this indicate the technician insist the problem is came from my house.. instead of somewhere outside.. But i also insist that the port is reset, and sure lah now no such problem already, how you gonna check..? The technician behtahan, wanted to hang on me, and he said, anything please call him, don't report anymore.., conversation end..... icon_question.gif

I was like...., "what a totally FIRST CLASS service and attitude drool.gif !" ... , hello, mr TMNUT techcnian, i am an IT graduate, you thought me is NOOB ah vmad.gif ? Anything also don't know??? Got virus i don't know meh? Also, my modem, don't blame on it..., poor modem always got blame by TMNUT..., i know is not your fault..!!! cry.gif

From today, i swear, i wont call to them anymore.., if the website i am not able to load now, i will try later, if not later, next day, next week, whatever, i won't call them anymore, extremely pointless!! vmad.gif

I will be switching to other if i find one.., watch out TMNUT, don't let me got modal or opportunity vmad.gif , i swear that you will be doom by my company, i will be TMNUT biggest nightmare and enemy ever else my name is not Ian Lim, damn it..! vmad.gif

LMAO, me not bro, you are bro., me sis lah oi.. sweat.gif Yeah, i am fearsome when whenever such situation happens., doesn't sounds like a girl at all.., very 'du lan'...! mad.gif

Muahahahha drool.gif XD , wtf?! speedometer go backwards,... thumbup.gif

DSLAM??? Erm, whats that..? blush.gif blush.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

Hmm.., i might need to call them up for same suggestion as you did, might resolves my "certain website not able to browse once in a while, and reset port, no problem anymore.." , naah, forget it, i dont want to give them chances anymore.., i don't want them to improves, sorry being self fish, but i hope TMNUT losing customers and close shop, end up cut off the price to 50%..! cool2.gif

Good luck to you any way..! icon_rolleyes.gif

As for Maxis or Celcom broadband, it's not cheap, it's wireless, thought, not stable for online streaming videos or gaming..., and not much coverage..

So, this noon, i received a call from Telekom regarding this report, that support said the technician has exchange the port, but i was thinking, the technician told me different story... mad.gif

I told him about the bad attitude of the technician which is a higher level than him, what a "high level" of customer service.., i told the support also that i am so disappointed with the whole thing, but that fella only want to hang on me asap, he say any problem please call back.., i said, no, i won't call back them anymore.. vmad.gif

The day before yesterday i called to request reset the port as certain website won't load for me, the problem was resolves after that, but it will occurs again, dunno when will be the time only.., i totally give up on them.., don't want to care about TMNUT liao.. vmad.gif
