Havent tried for a long while, but previously when i used to test, it could. 3.8ghz was stable, 3.85ghz unstable. THe proc seems to have an FSB wall. Beyond 3.85Ghz it wont boot

whats d trick to do 3.8ghz stable?

I've overclocked my E2180 M0 to 4GHz but sudden restart happen due to overvolt( 1.8+V using hyper 212)... The stable clock would b 3.8GHz for my M0 using 1.78V...
Hmm, You can add more voltage to it and pump more Vmch ( at ur own risk)~ Beside that, you can try to loosen ur ram timings..

No la.. If like that, the proc can burst i think~ But the temp was 6XºC if not mistaken... I oni used that speed for 2 hours oni...

Should be idle temps. I did before with tuniq tower. 3.6ghz 1.7V. Idle at 60, single core load already topping 80C

@ least urs can oc beyond 3.6ghz... mine I think max out is 3.6Ghz... then got barrier edi....

Guys, just OC my e2140 today and archieve 2.5Ghz.. saw someone make it till 3Ghz and above, can you please share with me the trick to play with this cute processor ^-^

try push ur fsb 1st...
if cant boot then bump ur vcore a lil until u find d best spot...
dont forget to lock ur pcie to 100mhz...
and if can bump a lil on ur vdimm...not so much la if u use normal value ya...

BSEL Mod,to let your mobo know your processor is not FSB hence it is 'overclocked' without touching bios setting

some procs are temperature dependent as well
even if you bump it up to 1.8-1.9vcore.....
it won't increase anymore
you'll need proper cooling then to try to max it out

u are using G31-ES2l right? if with the onboard graphic card, your FSB never can hit high...if you were, it will causing your graphic card either showing artifacts around or may stop working when u having 3D tasking. The only way to break the limit, BSEL it, this board don't recognize 266Mhz and 333Mhz mod, it only recognize 300Mhz mod by using 266Mhz method. Btw always remember set everything to default and lower down the multiplier before you going to link the bsel pin. :} have fun..
