i would recommend silver to get a new processor, its much more worthwhile than a monitor.

DFI is a great board to use only and only if you are very familiar with timings and voltages for the comp. Its not every ocers cup of tea, so to say.

DFI Genie BIOS uses different terms... Instead of pumping 0.125v, you add 12.5mV

i believe so tat the newer batch of e2160 is not good as the old batch....

i have done it myself, and the results are

P4 640 @ 3.2Ghz (200*16) = 40+ seconds..

Dual Core e2140 @ 3.2Ghz (400*8) = 18+ seconds....

ill get some screenies tomorrow morning and post it here..

i am not trying to compare on architectures doink... i am only comparing on FSB speeds... too bad there aint any one here who would wanna compare 333*9 to a 375*8 on same rams, same processors and same dividers... if there is, please do post up.

yeap, using it... well, frankly speaking, it's a good board (considering using dual core system on both Mars (as in my previous setup) and this DK P35 T2R-S)

+ good in overclocking
+ i believe can reach 500MHz FSB, only that my processor and RAM that hold it back
+ vdroop still got, but not as many on quad core system
+ fine tuning RAM timing

-ve
- 4 layer PCB
- need a good airflow or else, "running naked" , since the SB and NB cooler is in passive
- not as good layout as Mars (on Mars, barely touch the graphic card PCB when removing RAM)

that's all i think... other than that... none, i can't really push the board too high since i'm on crappy RAM with dual setup capalang PSU

since sniper did use the e2160 he should be able to teach you ler...

i'm not so sure on running 45nm on this DK P35 T2R-S, but our friend here, mfcm already use E8400 IIANM , you can ask him
