I'm using E2180(3.2Ghz) and thinking to upgrade to E8X00, but my question is does extra cache(1MB vs 6MB) really make any imprevement on gaming? Worth to upgrade? Or might as well use the money to upgrade my 8800GT to 4870?

cache only benefit if the games/apps coded to use it. in most cases, it will make huge different, especially in gaming. imho, keep ur card, get E8000 proc and OC it smile.gif

Just go to xtremesystems's forum and look for more infos regarding E8400/E8500, apparently 45nm E8400/E8500 chip is having a very weird thing. When u can run all the bench programs flawlessly, next day when u switch on your PC, it'll no longer work again.
