btw...C2D shudnt be included here...coz this is considered low end proc...like E1XXX, E2XXX and E5XXX...E7XXX is already a C2D..
Anyone wif oc result of E5200??

Your proc is pretty lucky. Most E21XX hit FSB wall arnd 400-420 And yes, at such high voltages, not just heat will fry ur proc, but also iinm the internal circuitry will get messed up, current will jump here n there. N that too will kill ur proc This post has been edited by joe_star: Oct 7 2008, 04:54 PM |

When the window popup for your confirmation to begin counting PI(the 1 which you'll have to press OK), wait for like 5 seconds or more before pressing the OK.

impresive stuff there lloyd1030.....many strugling to pass the fsb wall with e5200.....even 333 is not easy...u manage to get 350....
my e5200 can go 320 stable....since im not a hardcore overclocker... im gonna settle for the low voltage setting : 1.25Vcore 320x10 = 3.2 Ghz... GTG Added on October 10, 2008, 7:25 pmmy verdict on e5200.....cheap, its all fine till u find out bout the fsb wall, meaning tat its hard overclock using high fsb.......but still not so bad....for RM270 u get plenty of multiplier to play with.....with 12.5 multiplier, who care about the fsb wall....just 320 fsb x 12.5 is enough to send u to 4Ghz....if u dare to pump it with voltage offcourse.... Its ideal for a budget people who just want to overclock abit with just stock cooler...for overclocker who want to play further, i suggest topup abit and go for e7200 or e8series instead....and if you r thinking of pairing this proc with highend board...just forget it, cuzz u r not going anyware with the walled fsb...
