For surfing the net should be no issue. Speed is still acceptable if and only there are no files being download that time.

But since I am heavy downloader typo it really kill me when speed been capped....anyhow compare to other BB and Stremyx...UM definately the best for me

Last nite highest DL speed I get only 15-20kbs....

even at 45-50kbps usable speed (at 56k dialup), we still manage to download stuffs *pr0n, games, apps, etc*

wah, after reading thru last few pages, just realized this broadband dont have FUP yet. i've just terminated my maxis broadband 2 days ago, because its quota is too little. now i'm using maxis prepaid weekly broadband. but the price is too exp for too little quota provided. so i'm planning to go register for u-mobile prepaid. my question is, u68 is available for prepaid? really unlimited right?

I am wondering what is the upload speed in the area Penang.
here in KL, tried with umobile broadband before, its upload speed is only 50kbps (more or less)

umobile user does not get individual ip, meant many people sharing one ip.
same like Celcom.

Only Maxis and Digi subscriber able to get individual ip. Just like streamyx, everyone obtain individual ip (dynamic ip)
with individual ip, you can host your own's webserver and website on your broadband connection whether it is dsl or mobile broadband (HSDPA).

Maxis and Digi's upload speed is around 384kbps, it is good enough for hosting webserver for one website.

Im now at ipoh city, the speed quit good. early this morning about 1am i download chrome beta speed average 250 to 300 more kb/s. today going to penang and i want to know the how the coverage there. Now im at kopitiam and not using umobile so can't check speedtest.

Usually at smaller states/towns, the connection will be fantastic. Same applies to other networks as well.

Anyone of us here except myself experience lousy youtube video streaming at most of the time while speed test is showing deng good result?

nope. youtube on umobile (no buffering) compared to shitmyx (always buffering)
