classic perdana problem. is the sound, sound like it coming from the dashboard? last time i got sound like the gearbox is failling it turn out to be the plastic cover of the metallic lining cover for the windshield. coz it related to speed, the faster u go the louder it become. check for the clear plastic coming out of the metallic cover.

if u are planning to lightly mod ok la. if u wanna play heavily modded NA, i dont think its worth it.

v6 NA manual may get 115whp.
add piggyback, exhaust system, intake system, port n polish, hi cams, bigger TB; at about rm10K; u may get 150whp.

a fren in Vsixers pump in rm20k in his v6 NA manual and gets about 175whp.
but he truly loves his NA, so the love justifies the amount of money.

if it were up to me, i'd get turbo anytime.
get an Evo3 halfcut, installation, exhaust, IC piping, piggyback, boost controller; all about rm16k and u'd get at least 240whp.
get twinturbo halfcut with the above mods, rm13k and u'd get at least 215whp.

so, which do u choose? whistling.gif

Hi to all perdana fellower smile.gif

I'm having some problem with my perdana sei throttle body...
Recently juz modified with addition FICD along tb...it solved the problem & went fine everything no more fluctuate rev...

After 2 month since FICD add on system, problem arise again...

1)whenever cold start, engine will not revup as normal even jerk & vibrate almost stalled
2)when drive gear engaged to D or R idling drop very low around 400-500rpm

So is it my FICD dead?

i have not got a manual pv6 but i do know the performance and FC as i have lots of frens who drives pv6 manual.
with manual, u feel u have more power as the powerloss in the transmission is less compared to auto.
and FC is better, u get at least 10% more mileage compared to auto.

Last time I had this problem after filling up the petrol... they were rattling sounds coming from the dashboard and I searched high and low for the source...

It turned out that the rattling came from coins squeezed in between the front speaker and its casing (right hand side underneath the steering) by my beloved daughter rclxub.gif

It's been a while since I dropped in into this page... Hi all!

how the engine differ ? i mean the same code, the same mechanism but different hp ?
i met one of the vsixers guy n he said that RVR is the best for perdana coz it's design for wagon which make it suitable for perdana heavy body.. is't ?

oh. maksud ko itu ke..
some stuff are the same, like engine block, MAF sensor, etc.
but nearly everything else is different like head, intake, turbo, wiring, ecu, IC.
the good thing is, they can be interchangeable, depending on the work done.

every 4G63T is suitable or 6A12TT engine is also suitable for that matter, as they have power.
if u want the most suitable one, i'd say 6A12TT coz its plug and play.

yep. i regularly get 300km per rm50 hiway drive compared to 200km town drive for my auto turbo.
but that's based on pemanduan berhemah la.
if u always speeding and play pickup here and there, sure cannot jimat..

it's note entirely based on the engine size, the gear ratio plays an important role to get good FC.
