MUT is the small computer thingy (mitsubishi something...) that proton uses to tune our ECU to tune our engine to optimum performance.
it costs about rm50-80 for a re-tune.

and for the adjust tappet thingy, maybe they need to adjust valve clearance or something..
maybe bcoz using new seats or seals, need to running-in first..
*
do u have any recommended workshop to re-tune ?
btw my prob now is i'm at seri kembgan n will be back at my hometown in MAy..
but my millage already pass the number need to check for tappet..

i do have 2 favorite workshops, 1 in putrajaya and 1 in pandan indah
but both don't have MUT or any computer to do tuning

u can go to any proton or eon service centre

i have done tuning before at an EON certified service centre in puchong
workshop name if not mistaken Trisilco Auto sdn bhd

tappet sound on v6 iss normal
if using fully synthetic engine oil, the sound is louder as the oil is light/thin
use semi-synthetic oil or mineral oil to reduce the sound as it is heavier/thicker
but yeah, just the sound, no serious prob..

ur headlamp is yellowish on the outside or inside?
if outside, u can polish it using normal polish or some specialist liquid
try search on this forum, i think got some discussion on it

To all the sifus here, considering to get a PV6, yr 2001 or 2002.

Mind to share its petrol consumption? I know it's all depends on the way / style u are driving. I just wanna get a rough figure. Full tank of petrol cost how much?

And based on what I read on this thread, seems like PV6 has gearbox problem.

perdana tank is 64 liters.
i have managed to empty (nearly la) my tank and filled 63.5 liters.
drive around town with traffic jam and all, RM0.21 per km. ron95.
hiway all the way, RM0.16 per km. ron95.
that's my calculation on my usage.

as for the auto gb, the prob was from mitsubishi.
anyways, just install ATF cooler and it can help prolong the life span of your gb.
