Gurney Drive is only 10-15 min drive away from George Town. If not jam lah

In my opinion, you should just stick to one hotel for the whole 3 nights.
It's very troublesome as you need to pack, then unpack again to another hotel.
Take note that most hotels, you need to check out before 12 in the afternoon and check in only at 2PM.

Ferry i think its cheap, RM1.90 the last time i travel.
Whatever you do.. stay away from mainland.
It's boring... trust a penangite here.. There's alot good food at mainland, but you'll waste time traveling to mainland what for? You'll only travel there if you're bored of the food in island.. which 3 days is not enough for you to eat everything in Island.

there's bus to Batu Feringghi too. How much not sure d.. lol

If you want WALKING distance to QBM, Eastin Hotel, Crystal Suite..

Nearby that area, consider "away from down/up the hill", Vistana Hotel, Equatorial Hotel.

I stayed in YMCA, which is located about 20-minute walking distance from gurney drive.

HOLY COW! Thats FAR! lol ..
You see, penang is not like KL, it's only a small island, you shouldn't be wasting time travelling from 1 place to another. (Even when it's Jam)
20 minutes of travel is consider alot in Island. lol ..

Disembark from the ferry, follow the crowd and ignore all the canvassing for trishaws, taxis etc. Walk to the mainroad, just under the overhead bridge, there's a bus stop. Check which one goes to Tg.Bungah and board it. Once around Tg.Bungah look to the right and press the bell if you see Copthorne Hotel and get down when it stops. Flamingo will be there! The ride will be tedious though! Taxis from jetty will slaughter you like most taxis in Penang.

Aiyo! not far larr. On the way can stop and visit reclining buddha in P.Tikus and a slight detour the Burmese temple.
Lots of good makan place here and also try the mee goreng mamak in Bangkok Lane. At night got nice Lok Lok in Pulau Tikus market, also hokkien mee (prawn mee in KL) also good here.

Well, exactly what i'm talking. YMCA there alot taxi waiting cause of island hospital.
If you wish to walk of course no problem. But nowadays the weather abit crazy i think..
