If you dont know the roads here, better dont travel by car. Taxi is always best choice. Tris-haw if you got time and like the Sun.. haha..

Hotel, depends where you want to go, if you want away from town feeling, go Batu Feringghi, alot hotels there. If you want down town, Royal Hotel is cheap. If you want up the hill, try Vistana Hotel. G Hotel is quite expensive, if you want near mall shopping, can consider. I used to have G hotel vouvhers for sale. Sold out d tongue.gif

Sorry for my ignorance, whats ah yat? lol

Exquisite dishes. (Teluk Kumbar Seafood) Big Cheap Good, though its quite far from town.

Want near there, Bali Hai at Gurney Drive. Abit pricey, but the food is nice.

Well, there are lots of good food around, but you must know what to order in a restaurant.

No sir,
I dunno much restoran in penang that cheat their customer especially on the weight of their seafood and charge u cuttthroat price

penangite more price conciose
*
All you have to do is just stand there as they prepare the food, while ordering, stand at the seafood side. Tell them "Nicely" you're not stupid, remove the water first. Just be direct.. shouldn't be a problem. I always do that. wink.gif

Ferry i think its cheap, RM1.90 the last time i travel.
Whatever you do.. stay away from mainland. tongue.gif
It's boring... trust a penangite here.. tongue.gif There's alot good food at mainland, but you'll waste time traveling to mainland what for? You'll only travel there if you're bored of the food in island.. which 3 days is not enough for you to eat everything in Island.

there's bus to Batu Feringghi too. How much not sure d.. lol

Budget?
If you want WALKING distance to QBM, Eastin Hotel, Crystal Suite..

Nearby that area, consider "away from down/up the hill", Vistana Hotel, Equatorial Hotel.

I stayed in YMCA, which is located about 20-minute walking distance from gurney drive.
*
HOLY COW! Thats FAR! lol ..
You see, penang is not like KL, it's only a small island, you shouldn't be wasting time travelling from 1 place to another. (Even when it's Jam)
20 minutes of travel is consider alot in Island. lol ..

Hi,

Will be going to Penang next weekend, is there any place (prefer Bayan Lepas area, else further also can) with sea side bistro to sit back, relax & chill, having some wine, enjoying the breeze of the wind & listening to the sound of waves?
*
Bayan Lepas area has nothing to shout about the sea side. If you want sea side, head for tanjung bunga, it has everything you want. Chill, relax,on the beach bistro (sunset bistro, club 69)

Lol.. im sorry. notworthy.gif
But rationally, there's really nothing much in mainland. I'm not saying there's no good food there, there is, but can't expect them to travel to penang whole day eating right? laugh.gif

I do travel there to mainland for good food sometimes.. thumbup.gif

Batu Ferringghi don't have any nice hawker, 3 choices over there.Lunch time, Opposite Floating Mosque Famous Malay Food, Seafood, or Restaurants.

German Restaurant Ingolf is good. Seafood there's a few seafood restaurant there, 1 of them i recommend SunShine Seafood, right before you reach floating mosque. They're famous for Wrench Crab. Another one is further all the way up after you reach butterfly farm turn 9 o Clock, that place is famous for Deep Sea Crab.

Bro, SunShine Seafood is in Tanjung Bungah. Located in Kedai Kopi Sin Eng Huat just right beside the traffic light junction. It is an old wooden traditional kopitiam.
They are famous for stir Fried Yellow noodles with small local oyster. IF you dun like the local oyster you can also have it fried with crab. I like the fried fish in thick black bean sauce with spring onion and garlic in a claypot. Ask for their other specialty also.
Do go there early before 6pm or else very long queue!
*
Thanks for correcting, always messed up wtih BT Ferringhi and Tanjung Bunga, cause it's just so close to each other.. tongue.gif
The Kappa Glass Noodles was good too smile.gif Alot of good food there.. 100% satisfaction guaranteed.
