Hey I'd read previous post and saw few bungalow owner that rent their hse for holiday.

I'm going end of the year 30 dec to 1 jan for 3D2N. Any one still has available bungalow for rent during that period?

Prefer FERINGHI VILLAS or at least well maintained units.

Me and my mates are going to penang this weekend. Does anyone know of any budget accomodation where we can stay on the cheap that is not too dodgy?

Air conditioning, running water, electricity and a parking lot is all we need. Any two/three star place will do.


Anyone got any suggestions?

Otherwise u may try Hotel Malaysia. My friend stayed there b4, quite decent...

i stayed at D'Ferrenghi hotel september last year.
it was rm100 per night i think. rooms are very small but clean, something similar to tune hotels. got aircond, parking and breakfast too. its next to park royal if not mistaken. hotel was quite new when i was there, not sure about it now.

just book early for tune hotel..

or book early for cititel penang.. bout 99 pernight,,gud and strategic location and clean.. near clubbing spot oso..

same location but cheaper around cititel,, i recommend merchant, hotal malaysia and hotel continental.. gud place to stay..

There are a few motels in some shop houses in Batu Ferrighi just after the Feringghi Resort or Hotel ( now changed to Hydro Majestic). A few hundred meters after the hotel turn left and there are a few motels there. Used to be about RM40 - RM50 for a double room ( pretty basic but with ac and hot water ). The bathroom is just a shower curtain in the room so 'jamban' is outside.

guys, I'm planning to go penang for 2 days on 28th dec with family, just now I check Tune hotel give good price, is this hotel good? or any recommendation hotel for budget around RM400 for 2 days?

Hey I stayed this place before.
Clean, simple and cheap.

And we even took the shared bathroom options, without much problems.

And very near to Esplanade, Little India of Penang, and short drive away to Komtar, as well as Gurney.

yea..i just went there last week..since the rooms are cheap..we could rent a car to travel around penang..
this place is clean..the hotel operator is friendly as well..

damn, friendship motel is also booked out. Looks like we're just gonna go this weekend and wing it. There should be accomodation around.

I've been quoted the same price by Continental n Grand Continental Penang (RM168nett).
Can I know between this 2, which is better? or is there another hotel offering same rate nearby?

you're taking Super Deluxe Room RM 161.00 nett with 4 breakfast?

It's deluxe with 2 breakfast..i think it's because of peak period surcharge so rm168.
