Hi Guys / Gals,

I'm planning to go to Penang early next month. Is Tune Hotel located far from Gurney Drive? I haven't been to Penang for more 15 years smile.gif

Thanks

The distance is about 2km to Gurney Drive. And a further 2km to the Gurney Drive Hawker center or Gurney Plaza shopping center.

It's about 15 mins drive from Tune hotel to Gurney:) It's not walking distance for me, unless you are a good walker tongue.gif
If you would like to stay in gurney, there are few 5 star hotels around there, which is Gurney hotel, evergreen and g hotel. If you prefer to budget hotel, you can try Good hope inn. These are the walking distance's hotel to Gurney plaza/gurney hawker smile.gif

But be prepared to take your turn in a long long line. laugh.gif I backed out twice and so far have ate only once there. I got an aunt who stays at the flats there. I personally likes Kassim Mustaffa Nasi Kandar in Bayan Baru or the 1 star Hotel Merlin. icon_rolleyes.gif

Hotel Merlin (5.41962N,100.34173E) may be 1 star but the Nasi Kandar is 5 stars price. They charged me RM21+ but does taste good.
