i'm attending a course for 4 days in penang in July. it will be held in evergreen.
my budget for hotel room is between rm150 to rm180. max is rm200 (have to top up with own money)
i called G hotel, northam, Gurney Hotel n evergreen n found that their rates are above my budget.

is there any nearby hotel within my budget?
walking distance is ok, i don't mind.
during nights and weekend, i would like to do some touristy stuff like shopping for local items and eat popular street food.

i have read all posts in this thread and unfortunately, i'm not sure which hotel to stay.

Can anyone point out where to find really good nasi kandar ?
I was told that theres one nasi kandar shop which is really famous in which locals called it " Nasi ganja " , but dunno where it is
