The cost of living here doesnt suck. I grew up living all over the world n I always tell my friends there's still no place like home. Only those who havent tried will say that standard of living in Msia sucks coz the grass is always greener on the other side. Try living in England, a lot of ppl oni tok about cheap cars n what not, just try n buy a hse in England. A small lil puny hse in a middling neighbourhood costs GBP300k = rm2 million. For rm2 million we can have a bungalow here.

Well, by your argument, even the food is expensive, fried rice is about 5 pounds or RM30.

However, pound for pound, the things there are more affordable though admittedly real estate in England, London in particular, is mad expensive. Everything else, however, is alright, provided you work in England. Ditto that for the US..

You can get for example, french connection shirts for 15 pounds, you can only afford pasar malam shirt for RM15, macbook for 700 pounds, hehe what laptop do you want for RM700? Food's about the same though.

Don't compare with England tongue.gif

US is a whole different story! (dirt cheap)...only thing expensive in US is the medical and GAS!

$500 laptop
$300 per month to lease BMW(3 series) for 3 years
$1 mcdonald meal available
$0 handphone, comes free with mobile carrier (most).
$20 broadband

Minimum wages law
Its not legal to pay someone $500 per month over there but there are people who're paid RM500 per month here.

Yearly cost of living salary increment. (Adjusted based on the increase of cost of living)

That has got to be the most illogical argument I've ever seen. 1st u say GBP5 fried rice is equal to rm30. Then u go on to compare GBP15 tshirt equals rm15 tshirt. Then GBP700 compared to rm700 laptop. LOLZ!!!!!!!! Whatever happened to the conversion rate I wonder............ GBP700=rm4500. U cannot get a Macbook for rm4500? U cannot get a FCUK tshirt for rm100????? LOLZ. As I said only ppl who dunno always say grass is always greener.

Anyway, this is waaaaaaaaaaay of topic. back to iPhones.

SMSD on 1.1.4 !!!!! Confirmed work !

drool.gif drool.gif drool.gif drool.gif drool.gif

1) install SMSD version 0.2.1 through the Installer repository of STE Packaging;
2) download SMSD version 0.2.3beta1 from Amrut Joshi's site;
3) establish an SSH connection with your iPhone;
3) overwrite the installed SMSD.app with the SMSD. app from the folder you downloaded; and
4) restart your iPhone.

That's what I did on my 1.1.4 iPhone, and it worked for me. :-)

It is way off topic, but I have to put in a final word. The conversion rate thing is YOUR argument, not mine. We're talking about cost of living here, so we have to compare salaries earned in the currency of the nations in question. A fresh graduate in the UK earns about 2000GBP, let's assume that a typical Malaysian graduate earns RM2000.

Now let's compare the buying power of RM/GBP 2000 in their respective countries. Hence the french connection/macbook argument. 2000GBP can get you FCUK shirts and laptops in the UK but what can RM2000 get you in Malaysia? So life in the UK is actually better than in Malaysia pound for pound. I hope you see where I am coming from? Do not be so hasty to slam my argument as illogical.

But, agreed that it's way off topic. Back to iPhones... tongue.gif

Cool unit you have there... RMXXXXX ?

The thing about docking systems... if your iphone wearing a jacket or case... have to remove them first then only can fit it into the dock ...

Can the bose unit eliminate that step..

last time i bought for RM 1900, now so cheap adi, actually it belong to my sis when she got it for her ipod, but as usual female buy things never use

so as a good brother, i assimilate it whistling.gif

as for the jacket or what, cause it suppose to cater for all ipod series, so on the bottom there is a plastic base, so u can remove it so u have ample of space to put your iphone with any jacket, unless your jacket 20mm thick tongue.gif

as for the sound, my review is, when playing song, even call comes in dont have the buzz sound, but when u first plug in, there is a option to go airplane mode, that part only got "buzz" sound

but during playing song, all A-ok

i would totally recommend it cause the sound really geng, but beware, dont put it when sleep, morning alarm will make u JUMP ! rclxub.gif

Yeah bose speaker memang power... if only i had the extra $$$$ ...

But i am looking for bluetooth headset.. the one i had in mind ....jawbone.com

If im not mistaken even if you paired your bluetooth headset with your phone, you still cant listen to your music or movies..

Susah lah like dat ..when want to listen to music have to plug in the cable..have to bring both bluetooth and earphones where ever i go .. if only the speakers were louder and clearer...

Any solution to the above ah ? .. got app to install to enable the bluetooth to listen to music ?
