Many ways to do those things...

But the most easiest and standard way is using iTunes.
Just plug the phone to your pc.
Open iTunes - then auto detect ur iPhone
Click on iphone at the sidebar menu.
Got a few tabs Music, Ringtone, Contacts, Pictures and etc.
Go to contacts, choose what format you want to save ur contact as (ithink i choose MS contacts)
Then just click sync .. (pictures also similiar) your contacts will be saved in a folder in ur PC

Other advance methods
Contacts - can use isms - can copy ur contacts from your sim card
Pictures - can use flickr or pushr to upload ur pics in to your online storage for public sharing

Choose windows address book
i think it will restore to your my documents -> contacts if not mistaken
after you restore your phone, do a sync itunes - then you contacts will load back to your iphone (double check if you successfully sync your contacts to the contacts folder in your pc)

hmm.. pictures... not to sure about that ....

Someone posted a battery drainage issue a while back.

Install the bossprefs and turn off SSH, it worked for me..
Battery lasted a bit longer after turning it off

Another thing about SSH, was playing around with it and change the default password "alpine" to ****.
Phone crashed so bwadly i had to put iphone to DFU mode and restore the phone.

Don't change your SSH default password.

Im running on fw 1.1.4

Yes, my intention was also to change the password to prevent unauthorized access to my phone.
When it crashed i did a google and found out that they were similar incidents where changing the password will crash the phone...

The thing about docking systems... if your iphone wearing a jacket or case... have to remove them first then only can fit it into the dock ...

Can the bose unit eliminate that step..

Yeah bose speaker memang power... if only i had the extra $$$$ ...

But i am looking for bluetooth headset.. the one i had in mind ....jawbone.com

If im not mistaken even if you paired your bluetooth headset with your phone, you still cant listen to your music or movies..

Susah lah like dat ..when want to listen to music have to plug in the cable..have to bring both bluetooth and earphones where ever i go .. if only the speakers were louder and clearer...

Any solution to the above ah ? .. got app to install to enable the bluetooth to listen to music ?

Difficult for me to answer that ... cause im a Digi user.. so eventho come out 3G version also cannot use.. Digi tada 3G license only got Edge....

But i read that there is a software that can double up edge speed.. plus running 3G can consume alot of battery power...

Added on April 3, 2008, 2:24 pmhmm.. i heard of that ... but thinking about cost .. its only RM30 bucks.. and the quality is good (scratch proof)...bear in mind its two skins front and back.

The dust only collects at the edge (the flap that covers the corner of the phone) and its not really visible.. and when that comes like half a year ++.. change again lor if you really cannot tahan the dust...

And if your already using a jacket or a case .. definitely you wont get the dust in..because this is my setup..
