been reading the forums since its started and has helped me even to decide in purchasing iphone 16G and get heaps of software download in it..thanks u guys!

Ever since i tried on MMS ive been puzzled with indicator telling me im using EDGE. Here's wat ive been told by Maxis.
Apparently the EDGE indicator saying ive been using EDGE does not means im on the EDGE packaged for maxis.
I am on GPRS and MMS (not 3G coz didnt use it at all). Therefore the assumption is that the EDGE indicator could be due to the GPRS usage, eventhough not subscribe to EDGE. I got worried coz i heard EDGE is bloody expensive and it sweats me since im on post paid.

Nevertheless its just to inform you guys on the EDGE issue. Owh EDGE and GPRS is the same application. Wonder why telco's are charging seperate pricing....

same ere..looking for a free/downloadable best video converter for WINDOWs
to convert to itunes format so i can transfer to my phone..
so far only ida nerina's video can transfer in

bro try to uninstall then reinstall back the application.
Or when u uninstall reboot your iphone then reinstall and reboot your phone
if not err maybe try to look at your settings?
if the photo u set small,medium or large? try medium..

owh yes so far its only by the pictures taken by using the camera
have yet to try to move the pictures syn in from pc to the camera photo folders
maybe that could do..

Guys,

i hv encountered a weird problem today with my iphone
all of sudden it went all freeze and a popup came out saying
"your iphone is currently having a problem on call..please
report to www.apple.com" - i cant remember much bout the popup
then i tried to reset/restart/throw the phone( kidding!)
and even worse there is no signal!!
yet it still freezes..only after i let it be for 5-10minutes
i
t recovers back to normal and got signal again..
i restart the phone in order to purge/kill if any software
that actually jammed the phone...and it went ok
except sometimes a bit lag..so weird..any idea why?

ive transfer all the fonts/applications into /var
and /var still has 13G space and 140Mb on the OS space!
new software install? nope..other than updating swirly

any idea?

ive done full restore to my iphone n upgraded to 1.1.4
now the problem is

1. ive backed up my data using time capsule and email to myself
2. when i wanna retrieve it back..time capsule cant run on 1.1.4 except the german version
3. thats not a problem..yet the problem is i cant download the back up files from my mail..apparently safari cant do that not sure why..so if i downloaded to my pc how to transfer to iphone (noob question but i got problem ere!)

frozz..i wanna use winscp but dunno how to..can u help?

managed to transfer files using iphonebrowser and moved the backup files to time capsule
and using mobile finder to transfer the file into designated folder..the problem now..time capsule koyak!!
time capsule crash everytime i move to the restore data
might hv to move the files to other folder and reinstall time capsule..or donate to get full version

and sms...application used - iphonebrowser,filefinder & timecapsule

well i managed to see the mistake, when time capsule backup your file its in zip file..all u need to do is to unzip it and transfer it into designated folder in iphone..like for addressbook its in addressbook application, notes in notes etc.
u can do that thro Mobilefinder - to move your files around in iphone.

dont worry it would relocate all your application to the other space not on the root system.
but since u cant install boss..my suggestion is to uninstall applications that u rarely use or games
perhaps then install boss n do all the relocation..u be fine

1st. call maxis to check with them whether your plan has EDGE or not or either ure on GPRS
2. If not then u dont have to worry
3. the E sign would still be there yet if u send MMS or watever ure doing tat use GPRS it would only be on GPRS
4. If u do have EDGE, if possible change to GPRS..heard EDGE gonna cost u bomb or maybe u can ask em wat is the rate for EDGE n GPRS. If almost the same then up to u..but all i know 1kbyte of GPRS - either 1cent or 10cents..cant remember(for maxis of course)
5. u cant disable the E(EDGE) sign

right..so now the only way to make sure GPRS is not on all day long is to.....?
wat i did is checking how many bytes d/l and u/l everytime after i send & received MMS

i was warned by my seller to check and make sure edge/gprs is not on all the time..tats why i always check my downloads & uploads data on my hp....

ive turned off EDGE via Boss application and check my with service provider time to time..

well if u dont ever need EDGE or GPRS yeah its best to deactivate by calling Maxis..but if u use MMS then best to hv it
and i dont think u hv any problem to get ya phone connected even if u did not switch EDGE off.
