iTunes sync or use an app called TimeCapsule. It allos you to backup most of the thing but you'll have to manually transfer the backups to your PC through ssh/ftp.

I think BossTools is better!

info >> contacts >> sync contacts with

got 3 choices
yahoo!! address book
windows adress book
outlook

which one should i choose?

where they restore my address book? try surfing into c:\ but not found

and if i restore my phone, how i want to restore the phone book?

and about transferring picture, from pic sync, we just can move pic from pc to iphone only. cannot transfer iphone to pc.

After I use BossPref to off my Edge, how come it still shows on my screen? Or it is shown but not connected? I also create dummy settings under network to make sure it does not work. My bill went skyhigh as well, no edge for me.........

If you are using Windows and not using Outlook as your mail app, you can choose Outlook. Once you synced, open Outlook and look at the Contacts section. All your iPhone contacts are there. If you restored your iPhone, when you sync on iTunes, there is an option to sync from PC to phone rather than Phone to PC.

For pics, you can only sync from PC to phone, unless you want to copy your Camera Roll over to your PC. For that, whenever you connect your iPhone using the USB port (even with iTunes turned off), you could access the Camera Roll folder and copy your pics via Drag N Drop.

If you have set EDGE to off in BossPref, then it's off. And yes it still shows on the status bar. Don't worry, it won't connect to EDGE. I think it just signifies that EDGE is available, but not connected.

do u guys facing a battery problem?My Iphone battery will run out in a day.Very fast...

i think it will restore to your my documents -> contacts if not mistaken
after you restore your phone, do a sync itunes - then you contacts will load back to your iphone (double check if you successfully sync your contacts to the contacts folder in your pc)

hmm.. pictures... not to sure about that ....

Have you turned your Wi-Fi off when you do not need it? And Automatic Email Check to manual. Another thing is that if you are using SSH, make sure you turn it off using BossPrefs when you are not using it. SSH runs the process sshd in the background and that can eat up your battery power as fast as popcorn. :-p

SSH is a way to access your files on iPhone via wifi. But since you dont know that it is, i think you do not have it installed. Anyhow, there's no harm to turn it off in BossPrefs.

To set manual email check, Goto Settings -> Mail -> Auto-Check. Set it to Manual or a longer duration, e.g. Every hour.

And also don play with your iPhone so much Wifi and games really eat lots of battery power

-add account

Message:
-Show - 50recent message
-Preview - 2lines
-Minimum Font size - Medium
-Show to/cc label - off
-Ask before deleting - off

Sending:
-Always Bcc myself - off
-Signature - snet from my iphone

Is my setting for mail and yours is different?

Well...looks like you did not set up any email account on your iPhone. In that case, you dont have to worry bout the Email manual check stuff.

Welcome...:-) you can try googling for ways to make your iPhone lasts longer. Apple website has some guides there too. I dont think that will be too difficult for you google.

If there's anything, im sure the forumers here are willing to help you out :-)

Added on March 28, 2008, 5:48 pmU can differentiate when using WiFi of EDGE. Just look at the spinning wheel besides the E icon. If its spining fast that its using WiFi and if its spinning slow then its using EDGE.

BossPref is a must have for every iphone user.
