services works like boss prefs...
so if ur services is working there is no need to install boss prefs

Well maybe not now but an article in iphonealley said that Microsoft is looking into the prospect of developing the Office app for iphone using the SDK. Well they have Office Mac ... its just the matter of porting it to iphone since its based on OS X.

Did u update to the latest AppSupport 1.1.4? If u did then it might not use the *.txt file anymore. Its using the plist version if i'm not mistaken. Optimizing means moving (not copy) the Malaysia part to to top. If u delete all except malaysia then u might have problem if u go everseas.

hey all, great thread(s) you guys have. i got my iphone 3 weeks back, and had been slowly experimenting with it with new apps and exploring its functionality. it's a beauty really it is

I'm on 1.1.3 atm, and i have a slight problem at the moment. i've searched around but to no avail, so i require some feedback from the enthusiasts around here who can probably help. it's regarding the order of SMS-es in the default SMS app.

As we know, incoming SMS-es are tagged to the sender's phone date and time, and sometimes the sender and the receiver may not have the same date and time (difference by a minute or two). my problem now is that say person A sends an sms to me at 6.30pm (sender's date and time) and my time is actually 6.28pm. if i were to reply within (let's say) 30 seconds, the order of the sms will not be accurate, as the next time i open up the SMS app it will show (in the conversational bubbles) that i have sent my msg before the other person.

i have installed the AppSupport Patch 1.1.3, but i dont think it fixes this problem. I have also set my date and time to Update Automatically, but the other person may not have done so (or isnt given the option to). could this be a 1.1.3 and that i'm actually required to 1.1.4?

Sorry for being so lengthy here, just wanted to clarify the details from the start. Appreciate if anyone could help me out or shed some light on the matter. Thanks so much and cheers!

THere are reports saying Services might not be effective in turning off EDGE, i.e. EDGE might restart... For effectively turning off EDGE, I recommend BossPref.

I'm having the same problem here also. On 1.1.3. If the SMS-es are sent in quick succession (especially for short SMS-es), all the received SMS-es are grouped together on top of my sent ones. According to certain sources, this problem can only be solved by upgrading to 1.1.4. But then again, quite a number of apps do not work on 1.1.4. So for me, i dont bother to upgrade.

Yes you can use WinSCP. However, you must change your ExcuseMeBoss.caf into sms-received1.caf (or any number until sms-received6.caf depending on which slot you want to change).

What do u mean by "quite a number of apps do not work on 1.1.4"? Seems like the only thing not working with 1.1.4 is customize and even that have a sollution to it by installing the 1.1.3 app patch (or something like it). If u can live with the SMS jumble up then its fine. Everyone have its preferences but i just need to correct the "quite a number of apps do not work on 1.1.4" statement so other people won't get the wrong idea. Hope u don't get me wrong.
