SEP910 .... the source list is the old list and not updated. Like Kiasukiasi said aloha is not active anymore. BigBoss and ModMyifone are already in the community source. The others that had change and that i know of is

Thats true but like any early development ... better stay away first until confirm it workable and reversible. Don't just simply "U jump I jump". Better wait and see the development first.

A lot of people still confuse between:

BB = BaseBand
BL = BootLoader

BL only have 2. BL4.6 and BL3.9. BL = System BIOS

BaseBand refers to the firmware version i.e

f/w 1.1.1 - 04.01.13_G
f/w 1.1.2 - 04.02.13_G
f/w 1.1.3 - 04.03.13_G
f/w 1.1.4 - 04.04.05_G

BB = Communication Driver that controls Bluetooth, WiFi and Phone function.

Can but u need to purchase with a credit card, no green bag. Duit sana dah tak laku. US iPhone all with At&T contract plans but ur not force to sign up at the store. The phone is under AT&T subsidy, thats why u can get it at USD399 only. IF not just look at euro iPhone ... selling for EURO799. That one oso not fully unlock.

Buy the phone ... take back and hack to use any other network. Of course by doing that u void any waranty by Apple.

They are not selling the phone without contract. Why do u want to buy the phone without contract? The phone came with the 2 year contract but u can chose not to activate with AT&T like all iphone users in malaysia and other non-supported countries are doing. Don't think that the phone comes with AT&T contract means u have to use AT&T.

Cydia is meant for developers/programmers at this early stage. If u see the apps in there, not many are for normal users. Wait for Cydia to mature first and then it can be a companion to Installer.

easiest way is installing bbinfo from source trejan.com/irepo (if not mistaken). See the first page for source list. The other way is what ur iphone came as i.e 1.1.1 OTB and below is BL3.9 while 1.1.2 OTB and above is BL4.6. Hope that help.

Ok terence, now u dont need to use xx sim anymore on any version. Can throw the xx sim away (not in the dust bin la, simpan elok2). ZiPhone can unlock any version of iphone to date. Now there even have a method to downgrade the bootloader to a 3.9FAKEBLANK bootloader so that later u can upgrade back to BL4.6 if u wish to. Don't use ZiPhone BL downgrade as this one use the original BL file from BL3.9, if u do then there's no way to go back up unless doing the H/W method.

Even the BL3.9FAKEBLANK downgrade is so tempting, I think i'll pass for now (No more gatal2 tangan). Let them iron out all the kinks first or just wait for the DEV team pwned sollution.

Take out the xx sim, restore straight to 1.1.4 and only perform "Do It All" only if ur on BL3.9. If not, use the advance features and tick jailbreak, Activate and unlock. No to BL downgrade. Then press perform action.

Then ur done.

Errr .. u restore from IPSW file (SHIFT + Restore) or straight from itunes? If not using IPSW file then it takes looooooooong time since itunes need to download the IPSW files from apple first. That file is 160MB.

If the phone is not set to restore mode yet then yes u can unplug the cable. After download the IPSW file ... restore the phone with SHIFT + Restore. Once u click the combination, a window will pop up asking to find the IPSW file.

Bro ... the IPSW file is not an executable file. No need to double click on it. Everything use itunes. In itunes ... click SHIFT + Restore and choose where u put the IPSW. Then sellect the IPSW and its done. Simple as that.

Still need to use iBrickr? What for?

u restore from what version to what version?

If u off the phone then how to restore the phone. Disconnect from itunes. Switch off and on the phone (just to reboot). Connect the phone to itunes. Open ZiPhone and go to advance pref. Click DFU mode. Itunes will detect it in restore mode. Then do the same. SHIFT + Restore. See if this work. If not then need to uninstall itunes and use itunes 7.5 like from here ... Apple Support

Dat bcoz u have not unlock it yet. Thats why it said unrecognize sim.
