Haha.. Topic turn to codec again? Anyways, I'm now using The KMPlayer, one of the best player that i had ever use. Can play almost all the movie format without external codec thou. Now my WMP become useless lo.

Had pumped 1.55v on vcore. I dont wanna take the risk lo. Play hard but play safe as well. But then, my throttling level were set to 50% as if the procs hit 60'c. That happened with 4Ghz speed with 4 stick of ram. Problem solved after 1 pair of the ram been take down.

It might me quad dimm issues on throttling. But i not sure about it. Just it goes weird when high speed with 4 dimm. Might be the ram issues as well i guess. But both of the ram are factory clocked on 533mhz & 550mhz.. I dont think it will have any problem to run on FSB25x. Atleast it can hold FSB260 thou.

Sure.. Haha! I found some interesting thinggy with my rigs during OC. Just wander why the system will got throttling when hit high speed with quad dimm. Sure.. All ya game from P2P? Hahah...

Yea.. Gotta take off a pair of the ram 1st then the throttling issues will gone, but my OC not stable to hit 4.1Ghz.. Can load windows but hang at start up screen.

Hm.. I did post the video clip of the throttling in previous post. HERE is the video. The window loading bar got stuck stuck and lag lag like that. Not like usual run smooth. It like run 1 sec lag 3 sec and run again. I 1st thought is the vcore not enough and i pumped it up to 1.55v and still the same symptom. vdimm and vagp were set to max. TCCD doesnt need that high voltage to run @ fsb250 right?

Hm.. The throttling option that i set in my mboo was 50% when the temp hit 60'c. But i bet when on 4.1Ghz speed, the temp werent that high. I dont think is the procs / vcore problem.

Hm.. NB.. Good point. But i had pumped the vagp up to 1.8v dy.. Should be enough to feed the NB? Haha.. But im surprise that the proc can hit 4Gh easily. Will up too much FSB at a time cause problem? Cause for the exp, i done it in a rush.. up 10FSB at a time to speed up the OC process. Usually i only 2-5mhz at a time.

LOL.. I actually had took off my NB cooler due of casing too sempit. 2 HDD and 1 GC. Hm.. Might be the NB over heating. But heck.. The problem is gone after i took off the ram.. Plan to get a better case and invest on BLUE ICE 2!!

Learn to take off the bracket. Just use small tools to pok on the bracket kaki to get the while little rubble out. Thats all.. But becareful not to pok ur MB otherwise.. Wanna OC? Play hard & play safe!

Yea.. Probably will be the problem of NB. Since those 2 pair of ram were factory clocked on high speed. FSB250 was nothing for them. NB issues perhaps. Got time wanna try to fire it up again with set the NB voltage to the minimal.

Anyways.. HT actually are some architecture that used in Intel Xeon proc previously. And it later it been added to P4. Only the latest batch of P4 has this function yet not all. 1 real and 1 virtual core, meaning 1 core 2 thread. And also, currently only P4 S478 has this function. C2D like Coreo, Merom dont have this function. But according to review, Intel will going to put this function back to their new 32nm proc, the Octal core. So imagine 8 core and 16 thread.

Lol.. But i think until now, S478 still stand some of the value in compare of newer system. See the price of LG775 P4 and S478 P4.. S478 still worth. Only grab when need, other wise spent the $$ for other better thing.
