Australia has 3 subspecies that are native to the country, also all native animals are protected by law. Cannot even export and import pets freely too. Since our gliders are Indonesian species, it would not be wise to bring into Australia. They are quite strict with animals going into their country. This is coz they fear that other species may accidentally get released, then they may destroy the flora, causing the local fauna to fight for survival and so on.... That's why there are no hamsters in Australia. They fear hamsters may destroy the flora and crops, causing habitat destruction....

Lazy to bond mah LOL.... I never use the tent. It kinda makes the glider feels trap. I rather bond by using the pouch method and also handfeeding and playing. So far that works for me.

Your glider eats canned food? Mine won't hahaha.... but then I did find this canned food by Purina (Fancy Feast for cats), flavour is Roasted Succulent Chicken. The canned food is not processed meat but real chicken meat with some gel. My gliders love that.

I think the canned food you got there is ok....

finally i ownd suggie for myself..actually i did plan to buy it later..but suddenly my gf suprised me with a suggie..she import it from penang..i was shocked and happy..=) he's really cute..we named it "glidee"..i bought the sleeping pouch/tunnel set at petshack at subang last sat..but i dont have enuf money to buy the bonding pouch=(..maybe ill go again to petshack this coming friday..i gave glidee apple at 1st..few days later he find it boring to eat apple..then give it honeydew..he likes it so much..then i read about what fruit that suggie enjoys the most at this thread and i did give "lai" to him..but he peed alot!!!! so much!! basah all the cover paper..haha..then tonite i give him mango..he didnt move from the fruit space until now..i think he fall asslep while eating la..he bite me if i try to wake him up..adoi! haha..and he enjoyed the mealworm so much..he craved for it everytime..i got one picture that he hit the jackpot of mealworm..he found my "mealworm box" and he stayed inside..but i cannot upload photos yet..i will upload it later..

i did trim the nail of my glidee..thanks to crazymouse =)

wheee... as they walk on my hands, they'd leave their trail of pees on me

Hehehe... they are now 45 days out of pouch. So fast... another 15 days for them before they leave their parents.... and also leave me LOL.

I tried that on my wild caught gliders years back.
It did work, at first they'll feel trapped n scared.
Then after a few times, bribing them with mealworms, honey and stuf...they'll play around u.
I find it quite useful, i would say it works well.

To make it work, u would have to spend hours in the tent.
Read a book, bring ur laptop in, stay in there and do your own stuff.
Let them run around the tent, tehy'll check you out after a while if they notice u aren't watching them.
Let them crawl all over u.
Then offer them treats, that'll do the trick.

Hun, i believe your gliders were so blessed as you know how to make as well as provide them nourishing wholesome foodstuff, haha..

Actually, i think some gliders have different preference.
it makes it easier for them by chopping into fine pieces and mixing it with fruits or things they like.

Lets say greenaries like vege which they loathe, if i give them the whole big piece, you can be sure they won't eat it.
But if i chop it up to very fine pieces and mix it with the things they like, usually i will find none left in the morning.

You can find at Pet Safari, Cold Storage... Petsmore.... 1 can is about RM3.50 I think... or cheaper, can't remember coz I buy from different places each time so my prices all mixed up.

It really does look like cooked shredded chicken meat. Actually, I didn't buy the catfood for my gliders heheheeh.... it's for my blue tongue skinks. So since I had it, tried on my gliders. They seem to love it.

For veggies, I normally blend into a puree, then they will only eat hahaha.

My gliders fat. People say they look big heheheh. But now they are getting ample exercise from their Wodent Wheel every night.

its bigger than b4..
and so far glidee not enuf breath yet to explore the whole new home for him..
i set up some rope and some kayu.he havent climb them up yet..maybe he feel different from the old house..

Visits JTL/Joan's shop this evening. She's really nice. And her shop is lovely too. Also suprised she knows who I am immediately without me introducing myself. Stalker alert? Muehehehe...

Then after sesat jalan multiple times, I finally arrives at Ikano. Good place, great free parking for motorcyclist (unlike Midvalley ). But its so far and tiring to go to, so I might not be able to go there frequently. Although I can assure you I'll be there for our gathering, if work doesnt stop me of course.
