Hi guys, I've read the FAQ on their website, does this mean that we can't place in live/real-time orders throughout the day?

 Online Trading

2. When can I submit my trade orders?
You can start submitting your orders from 5.05 p.m. onwards, Mondays to Fridays for the next day’s
orders.

of course you can. before 5pm when u place order you can choose to place the order for the day itself or u want the order to be executed on the following day. At the order entry screen, you can select the option under "Validity"

Ah ok, so in other words what the statement means is that
we can place orders from 9am to 5pm to be executed for that day. But after 5:05, the orders would be for the next day is it?

Sorry for the noob questions by the way. I havent started trading so I've been reading the FAQ one by one to make sure I fully understand. It's just this statement that confuses me a bit.

Just started to use hle for a while.
Since the contract will only be updated in the next day morning, how can we buy and sell it within the same day?

On another note, has anyone requested for lower transaction fees from Hong Leong bank?

Do they judge by your fees incurred annually or the amount held with them?

The 0.1% brokerage fee is intraday only? Or does it also apply to interday trading.

U need a diff platform to trade foreign, called IRESS.

Talk to yr broker, need to register, sign some forms, deposit money first.

Note the brokerage charges for foreign are much higher than bursa.

Also, ask about chargeable or free realtime data, what requirements.

Delayed time data no good when buying or selling.
