izzi service is so lame, it's already the 3rd week and i still haven't got my refund for izziyou, who knows the company is packing and gonna run away ady... Haha. Man, before you purchase it, they said, no worries, the base station at bukit jalil will be up by the end of september, and now it's almost mid of oct ady i still don't see any sign of the station is being built, haha, when i asked them again , they said, no worries again, but this time they said it will be up within this month, bet how true can it be. Hope is denial of reality, lol.

The coverage there is good. but to be 100% sure, please arrange a test run with me so that you can try it yourself at home.

I'm staying in Taman Miharja, speed less than 250kbps (all days), sometimes even 70kbps.
Complaint N times, finally got the answer - " It's NORMAL (?????) to get speed below 330k in ur area, we had done a speedtest outside ur house and found that the maximum speed in ur area is 330kbps"
Can you believe this? Then why dont they upgrade their lousy services?

I asked if I can get an antenna, the answer is " I dont think the antenna will helps, coz ur signal is 100%, antenna is ony useful for those who r getting poor signal.

Asked me close all firewalls, antivirus program, and said mayb this will help. (told him i tried b4! and no use at all! ) Asked me to ask Microsoft how to shut down antivirus program that is running behind.

Asked me to online at my balcony (open space) coz the signal may b blocked by the walls. When he heard that my balcony is the place to hang the clothes and really no place for me to online, he said: " I still suggest that you shud online at ur balcony instead of your room, coz izzi is best to use at outdoor".

Asked me whether i can use second laptop or desktop to online instead of using my current one. Tell me who owns more than one laptop at home? You think all ppl so rich ah?

Can u imagine how angry I am?

Finally i asked whether i can unsubcribe the service, the answer is " You hv subscribed our service for more than 6 months already, if you wan to cancel, we can do for you, but you still have to pay for the rest of the months". I wanted to stop the service earlier but there's no other 'good' wireless service in KL and it's not convenient for me to get streamyx coz I'm just renting a room in KL.

So as a conclusion, i hv to stick to this lousy service, even have to wait for 10 seconds or more for a page to load. Even get into yahoo or gmail also have to wait.

There is no way i can get better speed with my RM104.83/month izziyou and (accoridng to them) i should feel grateful that i'm getting "NORMAL" speed now.

its obvious that your are has a lot of izzi users making the speed become slower.

And true the antenna wont help since your signal is already 100%.

The only choice u have is to change to another ISP. Next time before subscribing make sure you do test run.

Anodize, can you help me calculate how much i can get from the refund if i cancel within 90days?

The plan you're selling if different with the advertised in izzi website because your plan is 13 + 2 month, so a bit blur about the refund. Can you tell me again whats the RM1616 for when registering? Subscription how much? Registration how much? Just tell me in detail whats the use for the RM1616.

For the refund, how is it calculated?

9 month refund RM118 * 9 = RM1062

- OR -

15month - 3month = 12month * RM118 = RM1416

- OR -

13month - 3month = 10month * RM118 = RM1180

Plus, i got another 30 days free from izzi. Does that count in my refund? Really blur about the refund, please calculate for me. Thanks.

I am not sure which side you are facing. Perhaps you can try buying the RM68 antenna and then try to face towards PGRM there... it might help alot with your speed. However, i do not know which part you are staying thus there might be some buildings that is blocking your signal from directly coming to you.

If i am not wrong, it would be the 3rd choice... but to confirm that, perhaps you could give izzi a call.

Hi, anyone staying at vista komanwel tried out the new netlynx provided by Timedotcom yet? I was thinking of subscribing the 2mbp broadband becoz izzi is too slow for sharing and my housemates jus won't share with me because he said he's some kind of competitive gamer, lol . I wanna ask does Netlynx throttle p2p share? Anyone knows about it?

i believe all other isp throttle p2p... however, some streamyx user doesn't get throttled

Hi, thanks for your suggestion. I dont think the RM68 antenna will help a lot coz it's only improved by 50 kbps only:( tested b4 with an antenna from my friend).

My block is facing PGRM, but there's one block in front of my block. I tried to shift the terminal towards window (the PGRM side) but the speed suddenly drop to 70kbps.

Actually really angry coz I'm not getting what I pay for every month. If they confirm the maximum speed is 330kbps in my area, can I ask for discount for my monthly bills?

My bloody izzi is so damn slow.I just installed it 3 days ago.and the fastest speed i have gotten is 154 kbps!!so much for the 1mb speed that they have been advertising.ish ish ish.i'm currently stayin in mentari courts in PJ.and the BS is in sunway pyramid!!!!i can walk there in 10 minutes and yet the connection is so slow!!!The agent said it is because my apartment faces away from sunway.wth?!supposingly they are setting up another tower in sunway by year end.urgh.dunno can believe anot.i have to suffer this connection for 6 months man.nnnnnnnnooooo!!!

Haha, refund it since u jus used it for 3 days. Wait until the base station is on air 1st then only come back to Izzi. U can't trust those reselller man, i also get conned by them before.
