Izzi really makes me wanna throw up. I am now using it to browse internet and to watch YouTube video. Browsing is still ok but when comes to YouTube, a 150 seconds video took more than 15 minutes to reach 70% of the video. Its super slow and frustrating. I thought they fix their problem already? Its the same situation in my workplace and in my home. Arrggghhhhh

may i know u r using which type of modem??Dont thrown!!!!!Sell to me please brows.gif

very bad izzi customer service

today morning , i have trouble to even connect to izzi.com.my
i called izzi customer care... i was having a very jolly mood this morning and they totally ruined it

called them and ask them about it ... ( i do know there are times service will be interupted ) the customer service picked up and ask me do a few troubleshoot... and i am following his steps ... but as a phone technician , he gave me instructions and DOUBTED me as a customer

he asked am i using a router ... i told him no i am not ..i dont even own a router

then he ask am i sure? then i was like 'yes '

then he ask again... 'are u really sure? ' then i was like 'yes..i do not own a router'

then he ask 'then why u bought a izzipro package when u are not using a router?'

Is this the kind of attitude of a customer service?

Who doesnt know that ethernet line is much easier to configure than standard USB?

and opting for the best package , i hope i could have more flexibility and easier to manage my internet through my computer

and the customer service is doubting that i have a router and i am lying to them?

after that... we proceed on and he TESTED me by:

Phone Technician : Sir , whats the signal strength?
me: 100% ( i stay less than 50M from the base station )
PT: u using USB or ethernet?
me: Ethernet at the moment
PT : u sure?
Me: Yes
PT: U very sure?
me: yes
PT: then sir , i dont think u are telling the truth , coz u cant check ur signal strength using ethernet
me : O_O , i told u AT THE MOMENT means i connected USB earlier on to check my signal strength
PT: are u sure sir?

goes on......

i called in their customer service to ask for help... and this is the 'help' they give to me

thx izzi... not only u give us improper internet...u give us improper customer service as well

It sound funny to me.

Anyone experienced weak signal ?

Since I start using Izzi yesterday, the signal here in my area is weak. Sometimes 70%. Sometimes 100%. I suspect my antenna has broken... How to test it ? How much does a new antenna costs ?

WOW !! rclxms.gif Hasty reply.

Any other way to test ? I test it already. Sometimes without the antenna, the signal is weaker, sometimes without the antenna the signal is same. Sometimes when i ketuk ketuk the antenna, then the signal improve for a while, then drop again. Sometimes there are no problem at all. ( Many sometimes huh ? lol )

Is it the BS near taman midah there is broken ? I do hope so, because a new antenna costs RM69 (according to Izzi website )

Like now, without antenna 60-70 %. With antenna 90-95 %, where pada masa dulu, with antenna 100% always.

Hmmm... Can login to the izzi, izzi123 account, but how do you test it ? Cannot access any websites from this account to check the speed.

Then probably is base station problem i think.dont be surprise because i also encounter same problem with u sometimes. Most probably at this time consider "happy hour(2am-6am)"and most of the izzi users at ur area are drag the bandwitch from the basestation and thats why the signal&speed slow. But anyways this statement juz based on my assumption la,u might treat it as ur reference ennuf hehe cool2.gif

p/s:use the izzi account check the speed at izzi official website www.izzi.com.my

Hopefully that sometimes can go away soon hmm.gif , thank god someone experienced this before, or else I may go bananas to buy a new antenna... rclxub.gif Well, I was trained by Izzi to be patient...

P.S. : Now is not the happy hour for me. Slow speed.

Oh ya, last time at lowyat, some Izzi staff show me the location map of base station. Is it possible to know whether the base station at a certain location is congested with users ? Let's say like, my place, Taman Midah ?

P.S. 2 : just login to izzi + izzi123 to check izzi.com.my. The speedtest wasn't working. So, I looked at my UTL's current data rate when browsing through izzi.com.my. Speed not impressive, max 250kbps. Plus when loading the service coverage map picture, the speed was around 300kbps only. rclxub.gif

The slow speed issue that i experience with iZZi are based on below few factors
1)Area congested
2)Blind spot area
3)Signal weak

For ur information, taman midah area only have 1 basestation which located somewhere around Plaza international college there and i assume maybe today ur area izzi user download a bit kaw gua so affect the area connection.Actually this is like a laws of ISP especially for the bandwitch is something like a limited resources for all the isp in malaysia and thats why almost no wireless isp in malaysia can provide unlimited bandwitch except the most wealthier ISP daigoh TM can do it. icon_rolleyes.gif

In conclusion,on user perspective maybe u can blame ur isp poor managment meanwhile for isp side is their customers is too ganas to drag their bandwitch and they force to throate this and that.

What to do ?sometimes only a line of different between people greediness and the poor managment. thumbup.gif

Well said. icon_idea.gif Compared to certain wireless broadband (point to Maxis & Celcom), Izzi sometimes is better.

Majority of here are on user perspective, just some demands more some just don't care...

So, as a consumer, let's hope for better quality and less throttle ! thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

P.S. : Your signature's VPN won't work for Izzi right ?
P.S. 2 : Please, that "sometimes" faster go away...
P.S. 3 : 1 BS.... rclxub.gif

4 days in a row the speed has been crappy no matter during those uncapped period or punishment period. Even when I did not exceed the TUPD, the speed is still crappy, around 200kbps, which is the worst performance since I started using Izzi.

Will I get any solutions calling to Izzi technical centre ? Will call tomorrow though...

Hmm... On Friday, when I decided to call, I suddenly realize it was Labour Day ! So, I get lazy and just laid back. The speed on friday is on its original form. Speed on saturday is 60% of Friday. Speed on Sunday... blink.gif aweful...

Maybe my area is already congested.

Does the VPN increase your internet speed somehow ?
