Actually in AMD we seldom call it 1:1 or whatsoever like overclock in Intel.
The correct term to use in AMD is ram divider.

But FYI, Intel's 1:1 is AMD's 400MHz divider. wink.gif

thanks for the info there... cos when i look at cpu-z it only show me " cpu/11" for the ratio... btw...what about HT link? cos i read some guide says must reduce the HT link multi to x3... n i cant really get it there on y must reduce as i dont know the HT link affects what... hope u can enlighten me on that notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

EDIT: shud be HTT not HT link.... sorry for the mistake doh.gif

Ermmm hmm.gif
What mobo you use??

For starter, it is recommended to have HT Link below 1000Mhz.
HT Link = HTT x HT Multiplier.

HT Link is similar to Intel's FSB Strap IIANM.

oh..ok ok.... gosh... is there any place to understand amd OC jargons? looked at newbie thread for amd but din see any on the 1st page.. btw... i am using asus m2n-e OCing 4200 X2.... so that means HTT = proc fsb , HT link = resultant from proc fsb x proc multi right?

To clear your doubt. wink.gif

HTT = Intel's FSB

HT Link = HTT x HT Multiplier
Clock Speed = HTT x CPU Multiplier

Ram Divider: 400, 533, 667 and 800 MHz

You can refer to the table which provided in the 1st page according to your processor multiplier.

For your mobo, it has very limited Vdimm. Dun expect high ram speed in this mobo. icon_rolleyes.gif

i read somewhere that high HTT could lead to corrupted harddisk and oso, artifact in display
why dont u go with higher multiplier bro ??
*
Bro where u read those information?coz currently wif my setup HTT is running at 1114Mhz mean it is too high or?when i was playing Hellgate London there are a lot of artifacts..could it be the HTT porblem? hmm.gif

i have to increase to 1.45 then only can run Orthos for more than 1 hour.

You're currently using 5000+ BE eh ? Still cannot reach 3GHz with stock HSF ? What multiplier are you using ?

Try getting a good cooler, then super fan from AG brows.gif

tongue.gif 3GHz I can reach, but yet, cannot pass orthos. If I want to OC above 3GHz with this brisby, need to add more vcore sweat.gif A burden for my proc that using only stock cooler rclxub.gif

Overkilled~~ On air you could get ThermalRight IFX-14 is enough for you to cool down your processor enough tongue.gif

Changed, yet still shows something like that, but if I insist to continue to windows even the message appear, it act normally, only everything will go back to default... means that the FSB = 200, etc etc...

Drop your HT multiplier to 4X
Drop your ram divider.
change trfc to 195ns
it's either ram, HT Link or sub timings stop you
why don't you just remain everything, then push up the cpu multiplier only
since you're using 5000 BE, it has unlocked multiplier.
you can use this method to figure out what's the limit of your proc 1st without worrying your ram and your HT link icon_rolleyes.gif

p/s: it's not FSB, it's HTT. No such thing as FSB in am2 platform icon_rolleyes.gif
bro pws already explained it in earlier post

I had the error before also.
Continued and it reset everything.
Then went into Cmos again, changed again and showed same message, then i continued again and this time it booted my custom settings.
Anyway, mine was on the Cpu Speed.
