temp is greatly affectin my chip in oc, at nite when aircond is on, i can clock using lower voltage, but during day time, orthos always failed when it reach 512k... arghh... this is frustratin... vmad.gif mad.gif shakehead.gif

it's just figures when it comes to benchies. in gamin & applications, u mite lose few fps / waste few more seconds w/ amd, but is that really matter? it's down to personal preference ledi i think. smile.gif

in orthos u can associate mbm or speedfan to get d temps readin so that d value for each temp will be displayed at d orthos screen. smile.gif

step to include speedfan / mbm readin in orthos:
1. install one of d programs
2. configure it in the correct wayso that temp displayed are correct (speedfan less hassle as u ain't need to configure anything IIRC)
3. laucn orthos, then click on sensors, check watever u want to be display in orthos.
4. run orthos
5. voila... u got temps / voltages etc shown in ya orthos... rclxm9.gif

survive will be a better word i think. since amd can't win d performance crown, they mite just go for another option - bein competitive with price, just like d k6 II days. smile.gif

hopefully amd will make a comeback by not rushin out their product like what they did in d phenoms. yes waitin is frustrstin, but gettin a buggy product is more headache. sad.gif

5000+ be is hard to reach 4GHz imo coz they are of brisby core, 6400+ is on f3 core which can clock further if compared to brisby. thing d w 6400+ is that it runs quite hot (12xW IIRC). smile.gif

games for sure not strechin ya cpu as much as orthos, some games tend to put more load on ram that's y if ya ram is not stable, u got kicked out or there'll be error messages. smile.gif

since there's no proper cooler to oc further, why not test how far d chip can go w stock voltage? i believe stock cooler still manage to tame d heat generated by stock voltage. biggrin.gif

all they need is more voltage i believe. my d9dcl managed a 1000 @ 5-4-4-12 w/ 2.2v on intel e2140 + 965p, but on amd, 2.45v needed for max stability. smile.gif
