Can anyone tell me what is spread spectrum again ? And if I wish to go higher, does increasing HT voltage or NB/SB voltage helps ?

Might be due to ur ram hmm.gif Try loosen ur timing to 5-5-5-15-20 first, it might help nod.gif

it does

increasing NB voltage will help the stability of the OC system

simply the chipset need more voltage to coop up with the proc sweat.gif

do correct me if i'm wrong

dunno dude

i raise my htt to 240

stress-test it, unstable

incrase vcore to whatever voltage also the same

then lower back the vcore to last known configuration & increase the NB voltage a notch

result --> stable rclxm9.gif

btw, my proc X2 4800+ & my mobo T770 A2+

hurm .. a quick look, my nb was using a weak looking aluminum heatsink oni. might wanna think triple twice.

The non-integrated portion of the 690G northbridge handles the HT connection to the CPU, the PCI-E 16X connection for graphics, and 4 PCI-E lanes that can be configured as needed by the motherboard manufacturer.

if HT connection is handled by NB, what's the purpose of having voltage control for HT ?

yes... increment of HT NB voltage do help OC to be stable...
but dun set it too high coz it might blow ur chipset...
usually 1.35v is good enough...

well, as long as the chipset voltage dun reach 1.6v i think it should be fine...

ya, i needed to increase my NB voltage by just 1 level to get a higher oc on my rig. no harm done, i can touch the nb heatsink and the heat is still ok.
