QUOTE(mizivincible @ Feb 20 2008, 01:00 AM) I guess if for a stability program u ran and failed that means your system isnt stable yet. A stable system can run any stress program without any sweat I guess but i can run everything else orthos more than 12 hours superPi32m, 3dmark06 and others. just this one will fail after some time.Added on February 20, 2008, 1:03 am Depends, to see your name on the database here stress for more than an hour. As for me, I'll leave it overnight, or around 12 hours, to see its completely rock stable. No point running godlike speed but cannot endure the process and bear with the speed right ? anyone wanna give it a try and let me know if u can run it for 6 hours at least stable? |

hi guys, im back again for help
my setup is as follows : CPU : AMD Athlon64 X2 3600+ AM2 Brisbane @ 2.85GHz MOBO : Biostar T-Force TA690G AM2 RAM : 4GB Kingston Value RAM DDRII 667 Hynix FP-Y5 (3 pieces HY5PS12921C and 1 piece HY5PS12821E) PSU : HEC WinPower 480W currently my FSB:DRAM is /6 which i can pick in the bios, under the HT frequency i think (200 for 1, 400 for 2, 600 for 3, 800 for 4, 1000 for 5) so i picked 3 to get 800MHz on my ram. 2400/3~800 my ram voltage is up at 2.35. my target is to get 2.7GHz (on stock vcore which i can do previously but it gave me 676 on the RAM only) with the RAM@800MHz or more. i previously tried 2700MHz with the HT frequency at 3 to try get 900MHz on the RAM but it didnt boot. can anyone tell me what im doing wrong? anyone with similar RAMS and what is ur limit on the RAM? I cant think of any other way to achive what im trying. one more thing, the CPU multiplier (which is the NPT FID right?) doesnt seem to be changable. any guidelines on what i should be doing? |

icic.
bcoz the memory bus is linked to the proc frequency, is there a way i can get my RAM to run at the 800MHz but at a higher CPU speed (aiming 2.7GHz). i cant seem to think of any numbers/ways to link it. |

not sure if this is the right place to ask or not but will a thermaltake blue orb 2 fit on TA690G?
im not really sure but i think it will interfere with 1 or 2 ram slots so either the ram slots cant be used OR the rams have to be installed onto the slots first and if the RAMs need to be removed, the Blueorb2 has to be taken off first? (estimating that the RAMS would be slightly under the fins.) |

QUOTE(-pWs- @ Mar 11 2008, 01:04 AM) Welcome to the technology world. actually, i wanna ask something. does the required vcore actually depend a bit on the motherboard as well? for my processor (3600+) i need more vcore to get to the same speed as others. either that, or my oc method/skills suck.Btw, for 38 F3 user, mind to tell me what your Vcore around 3.3GHz?? -pWs- |

QUOTE(ah_khoo @ Mar 11 2008, 02:37 PM) cpu-z read timin showed d values saved in bios, if d value displayed are not d one u saved in bios, meanin that they were not saved properly. for ya case it could be d timin too tight to d board's likin. for me, if its too tight, it wont post. if it can save (in bios) and enter windows, i think maybe tras auto adjust coz too tight maybe? (dunno got such thing or not)or maybe he can just try leave the tras as auto and use that setting and see what value it is given. added : or maybe he can double check to see the value he changed was actually tras. i thought your F3 is a better OC-er? why do u need so much vcore to reach 2.9? for my 2.85 i just need 1.35v.
